So actually it was a CHERIMOYA I had for the first time

the other day...Trying to put my finger on what candy it reminds me of. My bf liked it but the jury is still out for me--not quite sure how I feel about it...

I've been craving jackfruit lately but cannot find a whole one in our Asian markets around here.

One of my Vietnamese co-workers wants me to try cherimoya. She says they are wonderful.

LOL!

Can anyone think of a synthetic flavor that mimics it? When I tasted it, I felt it was something from my past...

Another thing: should it be more pulpy like an oozing persimmon? I opened it when it was just slighly soft and still quite firm inside.

I've had jackfruit bought in a SE Asian market on the Northside of Chicago. I felt that it was a pricey pineapple, LOL. My bf loved it and said he got high from it. I think it has some of those properties.
