" The maximum life span of mountain gorillas in the wild is difficult to estimate. The longest-lived gorillas in captivity reached ages of thirty to thirty-five years. No gorilla has been seen in the wild that looked as aged as the oldest captive gorillas, so the life span in the wild is probably somewhat less, perhaps twenty-five to thirty years" I`ve always heard that captive animals live longer than wild ones, do they use these silly logics to come to that conclusion?! Date: July 23, 2006 08:39PM Animals in the wild cannot aged much because predators will kill them before that time. They do no die because they are sick but because their chance of survival with age is slim. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
