Date: January 11, 2014 04:20PM I have some silicone 'baking' mats and they're pretty handy for using to sprout seeds on, but I'm wondering if they are ok in terms of any toxins leaching out..? Date: January 11, 2014 04:38PM Hey, that's a really good idea. Thanks, I'm going to try it out!
I wouldn't worry about the good ones like Silpat mats but I wouldn't use ones with questionably colorants in them. Re: silicone mats - safe to sprout on?

Date: January 11, 2014 06:42PM Thanks SueZ. Yeah they look pretty cute, like a bunch of muffins gone wrong lol. I'm not sure if mine are good quality or not, they are pretty bright coloured...Next time I'll look for the Silpats.
