eating without harming a plant?

"Missi Devi – 105 year old Centenarian VEGAN. She followed the Jain lifestyle, which respects all animals. Jains follow “Ahimsa” in which they avoid even dairy in order not to inconvenience the cow too much, and try to eat mainly fruits and aim for things which try not to hurt or kill the main stalk of the plant offering the nuts, fruits, or food. Aiming to eat only what it kindly offers".

I've been thinking of trying something like this, but am not sure what i'd eat. I definitely believe plants have a consciousness, soul, n emotions though. They react to music, communicate with each other, n are do a ton of other things. Some stuff I've been reading about how plants have oxalates has made me think more about how plants also have a wish to survive n do not want to be eaten. So that is how they fend for themselves. I've read that plants can feel pain, and some studies about wavelengths that occur when someone takes their leaves, but I don't recall exactly what all it said. Anywayz, does anyone else follow this sort of diet? What could a person eat, n what could they not?

there are many forms of life. we are heterotrophs (we need organic matter to survive), while autotrophs (plants) live from inorganic mater and light.

Plants, algae, and some bacteria harvest the energy of sunlight
through photosynthesis, converting radiant energy into chemical
energy. These organisms, along with a few others that use
chemical energy in a similar way, are called autotrophs (“selffeeders”).
All other organisms live on the organic compounds
autotrophs produce, using them as food, and are called heterotrophs
(“fed by others”). At least 95% of the kinds of organisms
on Earth—all animals and fungi, and most protists and
prokaryotes—are heterotrophs. Autotrophs also extract energy
from organic compounds—they just have the additional capacity
to use the energy from sunlight to synthesize these compounds.

this photo is making fun of dying plants. What if they really feel like that? Maybe it seems to matter less because we don't know what they think or feel, but that is the same with reasons people eat animals. Because they don't understand them. We just go around eating whatever, some random thing growing somewhere on the planet. Not knowing what it is at all. It can't say it does not want eaten, but they can emit signals to plants about it.

What do all these things have in common?

The stars danced playfully in the moonlit sky.

The thunder grumbled like an old man.

At precisely 6:30 am my alarm clock sprang to life.

The hare laughed at the tortoise.

The news took me by surprise.

The tsunami raced towards the coastline.

The sky smiled, as the angry clouds raced across it.

The birds saluted the aeroplane.

"Anthropomorphism is giving human characteristics, like emotions (feelings like being happy or sad) and the ability to talk, to a living thing or object that is not a human. This living thing or object that is not a human may be a god, an animal, a plant, sound, weather storm, an idea, or any other object. It is often used in stories."

Plants can communicate though, even though humans don't speak the same language. Just as animals can. Have been reading some lately about how they have defenses against those who eat them.
