Date: January 05, 2015 09:26PM i was wondering, as Spirulina and also barleygrass powder and all kinds of green powders; ARE THEY REALLY RAW ? as far as i know, near all spirulina and other grasspowders are spraydried, in a spraydry-process the product comes in contact with very high temperatures, something between 100 and 220 degrees celsius!! it seem to be quite accepted, that spirulina is a raw food and not questioned many times... as i dont find alot of critical information about that... so what you folks think about; is spirulina and grass powders really raw ? Date: January 05, 2015 10:13PM Some spirulina is chilled dried at low temperitures and ezymatically active such as hawaiian spirulina, but best to email the company and get them to make the comment on public record, because if the lie they can be liable. www.thesproutarian.com Re: IS SPIRULINA REALLY A RAW FOOD ?

Date: January 05, 2015 11:00PM I don't know if it's "raw" but there have been some red flags.
Dr. Greger doesn't recommend it. [nutritionfacts.org] Re: IS SPIRULINA REALLY A RAW FOOD ?

I been using spirulina for years, I thought it was raw, never questioned it. It is huge in the industry. LIKE EVERY RAW VEGAN RESTAURANT HAS SPIRULINA RECIPES. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
