hi raw practicalist

i never tried onion
but here is my question
i'm thinking... wouldn't onion juice on the skin sting or something like that?

i'm thinking garlic stings the stomach
and onion is kind of garlicky ( kind of ) so does that sting as well?

sorry if it is a silly question
i never tried it but maybe i will
sounds really interesting

I expect it accelerates cell turnover and therefore wound healing. Might be "anti-aging" as well.

True, it is has some stinging sensation but it is only for a short time.
And the smell too, so it is not something you want to do and go to work.
But you can reduce that sensation by adding cucumber which is also good for skin.
People eat hot burning peppers and they are fine so a little burning sensation on the skin is tolerable.
But it is very potent in cleansing the skin off dead cells.
And also it work very well on the hair for reversing grey hair.
I have seen my own reversed. [www.healthextremist.com]
But they are many other things I do so it may not be onions alone

LaV I have heard that the core of the pineapple is best for that. I am not sure if it is true.

Pineapple juice is the storehouse of vitamin C, bromelain and antioxidants, which are extremely beneficial in the treatment and prevention of acne, fine lines, sun damaged and uneven skin toning, etc. Bromelain softens the skin and used against skin inflammation and swelling. Use a glass of pineapple juice everyday to have fair skin clarity. One can also apply pineapple juice over the face and wash it with fresh water after getting dry. Pineapple juice is one of the best home remedies to improve skin hydration as well as make your skin clear and beautiful.

I find that many of the ingredients we use in smoothies work really well externally as well as internally! I starting making matcha green tea masks using a few of the ingredients from my matcha smoothie recipe.

These are what I use in the mask:

1/4 teaspoon organic green tea matcha powder
1/4 teaspoon raw unrefined coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon water

Massage into your face in tiny circular motions until your face is covered. Leave it on for just 2 minutes while you brush your teeth and use a hot damp washcloth over your face to pull the oil and gently remove the matcha powder.

Splash your face with cold water and enjoy your glowing skin!
