fresh water vs. sea water spirulina?

So I read that spirulina is much tastier when eaten fresh. It has a surface layer that is sweet. When bought as powder it has grassy taste...
Everyone says we should grow spirulina on our own. How? I saw some videos on YouTube but nobody compares salt water and fresh water spirulina.

Very much interested to know this, also about other algae.

Thanks.

I glanced through that document and it is mostly about the seaweed, algae...which is great but how can one grow these things? On a boat? Can we have salt wanter aquaponics? How?

On YouTube, everyone grows algae in fresh water, which makes them less rich in nutrients. I don't get it at all.
