i was thinking about this today, reading the label on a box of my mom's organic breakfast cereal... what about the fact that organic farming keeps chemicals off the food, out of the soil and the air, that it isn't responsible for contaminated ground water and run off? that's just HUGE all on it's own!
there are many companies with a vested interest in keeping their organic farms and products happening. we aren't alone here. i think a good thing to do is maybe contact some of those companies and ask what we can do to help them out in terms of phone calls and letters to the "right" people. even if you don't eat that organic cooked food, they are probably the ones in the know about how to further the organic agenda.
