"L.A. Has Been Eating Raw Vegan Food Since 1918..."

"The mother of raw vegan dining arrived in L.A. 100 years ago, ready to start a raw food revolution."

"By 1917, they had arrived in Los Angeles, and soon opened their first restaurant, the Raw Food Dining Room, at 640 S. Olive St."

"... it was an anomaly in a meat-and-cheese era..."

"The unfired diet is truly attractive,
Is moral, aesthetic, delicious and good.
And further than this, it is more than preventative —
It cures the diseases that come from cooked food.
—Raw Food Dining Room advertisement "

"You ate yourself sick on cooked food you desired; now eat yourself well on the food that’s unfired:

Raw food a matter of surviving! I was introduced to raw food from a good friend who
was sentenced to eat expired foods for 35 years of the sixtyfive he has been on this earth. And no he did not kill anyone.
In our wonderful prison industrail complexs thruout the unted snakes many states take donations of foods expired or very close US comanys write expired goods off for tax breaks! Some People who have nothing but time in this complex have observed the cancer rates of fellow inmates, Some of the smarter inmates take the slave wage they earn in plantation land and mail out to food companys for raw almonds dates dried fruits ect.
We here know that cooked foods may not be ideal for body and mind, Can you imagin if by what ever you had nothing but time for the state and were sentenced to eat expired foods for your time You just might not make it eating tax deducted rotten foods from comanys like Bar S ect.
Any way my good friend Taheem is solid works out to stay alive been a raw foodist for 35 yrs plus, I looked at him he was all the proof I needed to see he was onto somthing with Raw food diet. All muscle sharp mind.
Taheem was my intro to raw foods Prisons! In the old days we called them Plantitions ps this is a sad chapter of US raw food history you wont find in the books

You should see the food in some on the prisons in other countries. It would make you wish you had the nearly expired food from the US. To see worms in it isn't uncommon.

Yes the foods can be much worse in other Prisons, But we have Sensory Depravation in some us prisons, which is worse then any diet punishment. Ameisty International has done a few papers on US stae and federal lockdowns. Pelicans Bay in Ca. Isolation pods create monsters.
Worms at least are live, not like the putrid and cancer causeing chems in decomposed tax right offs
Try Nutraloaf, The Controversial Prison Food That’s Been Called ‘Cruel’

In many American prisons, punishment can come in the form of a bland mashed up block of food known as a “Nutraloaf” — a controversial “food product” that’s fed to inmates who have been cited for bad behavior. Prisoners often have to eat the punitive loaves for days or even weeks at a time.

random people were fed different kinds of Nutraloaf, and their reactions were captured on camera.

“My mouth is afraid of this food,” one man said as he skeptically eyed the slice on his plate.

“This is definitely punishment food,” said another taste-tester.

Nutraloaf comes in a variety of flavors, depending on the state where it’s served. There’s a rice, oatmeal and mashed garbanzo bean version, a non-dairy cheese and raisin combo and one that includes applesauce, garlic powder and spinach.

Regardless of the combination, Nutraloaf is universally reviled. Prisoners in several states, including Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, New York and Washington, have even sued over Nutraloaf or its equivalent, claiming that the punitive food is so awful that it’s unconstitutional. Following a 2008 lawsuit in Vermont, the state’s supreme court ruled that inmates have to be given a hearing before Nutraloaf is doled out as punishment.

Earlier this month, visitors who attended Prison Food Weekend in Philadelphia were given the chance to sample Nutraloaf.

“The California Nutraloaf tasted like chewed up, cold chili,” said an employee of the historic Eastern State Penitentiary, which hosted the event, per NJ.com. “The Vermont Nutraloaf tasted like gross refried beans with a real smooth texture.”[

Think out of the box, Build people not prisons!
