Have you read the news today that the U.S. might run out of sugar! You can find it on the internet. I think it would be wonderful if we ran out of sugar!

Good to a point -except they will probably just replace that nasty ingredient w/ NutraSweet/aspartame & other equally harmful substances...

The real issue is why is this administration trying to bankrupt the US economy?

But that is all I'll say, sine no political discussion allowed here...

I doubt that we will actually run out of sugar, but I was thinking what great timing! Just in time for school to start! Imagine how much more kids could learn if their brains weren't jumping all over the place on a sugar high all day!

I doubt we will either - most likely just another "propagenda" story... But you are right, the kids would sure benefit from it!!!

As wonderful as that sounds, I think the entire country would go into serious withdrawls and turn into nasty monsters like we watch on futuristic horror movies. *LOL* Trust me, it ain't gonna' happen! That's almost as terrifying (to the general population) as running out of WATER !! *LOL* Remember that those of us who actually boycot the refined, unhealthy substance are sadly in the minority. =*(

it's a conspiracy be big pharma to push their fake sweetners and splenda crap. sugar cane is a renewable resource, i mean Come On!
besides, sugary garbage is stockpiled all over the place. no one is going to run out of anything.
wouldn't that be nice though? dude, i'd love that. ha ha.

Sugar high? More like a sugar LOW!

The sugar in plant food gives us energy and puts us in a good mood.

You cannot attain a better "high" than that. They are addicted to processed foods containing huge amounts of refined sugar.

That is a completely different thing. The kids who are on that will feel sluggish and lazy. The thin kids, the ones that eat right, will be the ones with the "high". The fat kids are anything but on a high, those poor miserable souls are likely to be depressed and with low energy... then called lazy.

The media spreads lots and lots of dangerous nonsense such as "sugar high"... there is no such thing except for the little lift in the little sugar from fruits which puts us in a good mood.

Fortunately high fructose corn syrup is just as sweet, even cheaper, and only slightly more deadly than sugar. I love it when it all seems to fall into place.

It's like the food pyramid, which used to be 70% grains, and just as the food industry has perfected methods to process most of the "grains" into meat or candy, nutritional scientists suddenly discover that we should eat only 40% grains.
