low iron

Date: September 03, 2009 06:46PM I have given blood about a dozen times, several of which since going raw 1.5 years ago. However, I went to donate yesterday and my iron was too low, 12.2 instead of the minimum 12.5
Has this happened to anyone else? What do I need to eat more of in order to raise my iron? Re: low iron

Here's an article that might be of help. [debbietookrawforlife.blogspot.com] Re: low iron

Date: September 04, 2009 02:08PM Thanks Deb. I'm not worried about being deficiant, I just want to be able to donate blood. Good link. Re: low iron

Date: September 09, 2009 12:10AM What Eecho is saying repeatedly is that the concern is to be able to give blood so in that case being too low would mean being deficient ~~ too deficient to give blood.
Have you had any luck upping your count or is it too soon to tell? Re: low iron
