Date: August 23, 2006 03:45AM Rolled oats are not raw, infact, most oats are not raw, they are denatured to make them last longer (otherwise they go rancid after a few months). There are real raw oats you can buy and make rolled oats. I bought some, I don't remember where, but it's in some raw oats thread from a month or two ago. I was able to sprout them. But I normally just eat them raw and dry. I keep meaning to run some thru the coffee grinder and make some oaty breakfast, but never seem to have time.
Cheers, Ian. Re: Oats

I do know that steel-cut oats are raw, they are found in the health food stores, they are smaller but excellent in muesli, especially when softened with water, juice, or nut milk... If you would like, Ill give you some oat recipe's! Re: Oats
