Date: September 04, 2010 01:52PM there is a guy at my local farmers market, he started growing last year, he is all organic and grows like 15 different varieties of tomato, and they are all really delicious heirloom varieties! I get free ones from him all the time now cause Ive brought so much business to his booth, as I was buying tomatoes from him to just sit there and eat for lunch in front of the booth, my antics seemed to drastically up his tomato sales,lol...mmmmmmmm I love a good fresh tomato... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Date: September 04, 2010 02:06PM yeah, I like the varieties this vendor here has, he doesnt grow beefsteaks, he says he doesnt like their flavor as much, its not as intensely tomato-ee...back when I grew tomatoes when I had a bunch of garden boxes, beefsteaks grown at home where a billion times better than what id get at the store, but still not as good as some of the other varieties I grew, both obviously different, yet both labeled "heirloom tomato" lol... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Date: September 05, 2010 02:38AM I was looking for one type which I bought at the farmers' market this morning that I didn't see on the list. It was cherry-sized and striped: green and yellow. I like them because they are very sweet and mild. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
