Can you freeze apples for smoothies?

Found a good deal on organic apples (30 cents/apple) and was thinking of pillaging the place. Do you think they would freeze well for smoothies?

I don't see why not. They may turn a little brown, but you could always add a little lemon juice before freezing them.

why would you need to freeze apples?

most last 3 weeks on the shelf before they begin to shrivel.

WanderRA- most of them, unfortunately, were at that point. They had these massive OG fujis that looked/felt like they were a week away from rotting. I just want to rescue them all is all. smiling smiley
