What does David Wolfe think of Jicama?

Hey Everyone,

I was thinking about adding Jicama to my diet and I wanted to know what David Wolfe, Gabe Cousins, and the other Raw food pros may have thought of this veggie. I'm asking because I know that potatos are stongly not recomended but Jicama is different somehow, really I just wanted to be certain of it was suitable for consumption.

thanks.

A lot of cook books have uses for jicama in them.. including the boutenkos, alissa cohen and Nomi Shannon. They are all pretty reputable as far as raw food is concerned, so I would say go for it. It's yummy stuff too.

A quick bit of internet research suggests that Jicama is a legume so not at all related to normal potatoes which are solanace family.
