I am planning on starting a 30 detox of a raw diet, and then going back to being just vegan afterwards. I was vegan for 6 years and have spent the last 2 years being just vegie. I have gained a few extras pounds since I went back to being vegie and think 30 days raw will be just what I need, and hopefully it should then make being vegan alot easier, Im thinking of being about 7--8-% raw afterwards. I keep wondering though if this or that is considered raw.Is there alist of products anywhere which is just raw. Its things like balsamic vinegar, multi vits..just typical I cant think of any others now, I had loads earlier, honest. As I think of more I will repost. Any help will be glady appreciated. thx Dan Re: Help with whats Raw and whats not.

Date: September 24, 2006 07:16PM NOT raw:
-anything canned -frozen vegetables (frozen fruit is OK) -vinegar, except for unpasteurized apple cider vinegar -most dried fruit and shelled nuts in grocery stores... usually they've both been heated -olives, unless specified as raw -peanut butter -Maranatha nut butters -Pickles -ketchup and mustard -Tofu and soy products -cashews from the store -canned salsa -most nori seaweed (unless it specifically says raw) Raw: -fresh fruits and veggies -packaged salad greens -most in-shell nuts -raw nut butters from Rejuvenative foods -raw fermented veggies from Rejuvenative foods -sprouted grains and legumes, like quinoa -SOME fresh-made salsa in stores is raw... you have to ask about it though, to make sure -raw hemp protein powder -extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil -raw seaweeds, like kelp and dulse (only if they say raw or low-temp dried) Vitamins aren't technically raw, but (in my opinion) they are so small anyway, they don't do much harm if you want to take them. I think Garden of Life and some other brands make "Living Food Vitamins" that are probably very good. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
