It is totally irresponsible to take a single frame of a video without the contest and try to make a point. It is not just food that makes us human, there is ethic, morale, and consideration for others

I don't know if I trust someone who can't even pronounce his own name. Is it Har-lee, or is it Howl-lee?? I say Harley is pronounced 'Har-lee'. It's the 'Har' part that I have a problem with.
Here's the way Ralph Kramden pronounces Har......WY

Listen to the first 30 seconds of this clip. You be the judge. Can Harley Johnstone pronounce his own name??

You're being goofy, but the point is taken- the individual needs to take a deep breathe and chill out.

it is clear, GC has changed his stance over the years. But Id have to agree with Harley, that GC isn't making alot of sense most of the time.

No, I'm serious. In fact, I'd go so far to say that Harley Johnstone, a.k.a. DurianRider, not only can't pronounce his first name, but he can't pronounce his last name either.
If anyone here can find a clip (and publish it here) of DR correctly pronouncing his last name, I'll send them $50.
How can I have Faith in someone who doesn't know his own name?? All that Fructose must have gone to his head......WY

I guess I shouldn't say anything about DurianRider, but something happens to the inside of me every time I hear him speak...same with Matt Monarch. I can't explain it other than it's not a good Feeling. Does anyone know what I mean, or is it just me?
However, I must admit they both have an air-of-confidence that we should all strive for......WY

I think we all know what you mean, WY. It's almost cartoonish.

(Storm, I think you posted on the wrong thread)

Gabriel Cousens is working with diabetics. Diabetics don't respond to eating fruit the way nondiabetics do. Perhaps that's what Cousens was talking about, since he referred to diabetics in the video where he advocates less fruit.

And it could also be that Cousens has changed his mind from a previous viewpoint, since we don't have the dates for either video. If that's the case, so what? Dr. Cousens wisely changed his mind about B12 at one point too, and wasn't afraid to let people know - possibly because he actually cares about people.

And if Gabriel Cousens believes in the devil, so what?

I do think it's wise for anyone who has diabetes to monitor their fruit intake, until/unless we have better evidence that on a raw food diet, unlimited fruit is OK. My understanding is that we don't have that evidence currently.

Gabriel Cousens has many ideas that I don't personally support, but I'd rather debate his ideas and challenge references to his ideas than attack him personally. What is the point of these kinds of vicious personal attacks?

I think the best of Durianrider is when he says what he thinks, without worrying if it's cool, and when he does it without trying to offend other people. Like the one where he ran a race and told everyone to be a vegan. Probably not a real popular topic for many in that particular audience, but he spoke up about it anyway. That's OK.

Often though, the person who engages in a vicious personal attack comes off looking much worse than the person he's trying so hard to hurt.

Seems like there are a lot of people out there competing with each other for raw food vegan wallets. And why not? Many of us are pretty idealistic, which is good; but it sometimes equates to "gullible" in the eye of the entrepreneur.

That's not to say that there aren't good entrepreneurs out there too, who have good hearts. And of course there's good and bad in everyone.

But when it comes to buying a product, we just need to "look before we leap".
