Ahh yeah that makes sense Tamukhasmiling smiley, forgot to say the ones i picked up recently were Turkish. So great when you get one of the fresh fructose oozing ones, next ones are tasteless and disgusting lol.

*Fresh* dates and *fresh* figs are two of the best things in the world. Really, I find a big difference between fresh dates and the store-bought dried ones. I just bought ten pounds from www.7hotdates.com. If you've never had a fresh date you've never had a date. And they also stay fresh and fine for months and months, esp. if you keep them in a cool place, which is exactly the opposite of fresh figs, which are only perfectly ripe for a few days- blink and you miss it.'

Dried figs can be good, too, though, granted. I generally avoid dried fruit, but its usually the only way to get figs.
