Raw Calories

I have been looking into a raw diet which I can gain muscle mass off of. I have had my bodyfat tested and found out how many calories I am supposed to get on a more standard diet. With experimentation, I have found how many I need to properly gain muscle without fat. What I am wondering about, though, is how those calories would compare to purely raw food calories? Raw food, as I have been told, is supposed to take much less energy (I have heard up to 50%) to digest. So, my question is, would I get about as much engergy from, say, half the calories of raw food that I would on cooked food? I know I am going to have to do plenty of experimenting myself to find out what works personally for me, but I would just like to get a decent idea so I have a platform to start from. My BMR is 1900 calories and I am very active, if that helps. Thanks.
