Question about probiotics
Posted by: Anonymous User ()

Hi everyone, this is Rebecca. I am a newish raw food eater, and I am wondering what people do for probiotics. I used to eat a log of yogurt. Now, I don't eat dairy, but am a little nervous about taking the probiotic pills, especially the kind that are made to not be digested in the stomach. Do I need them? How safe are they? What is a good brand/formula?
Thank you everyone for your imput.

IMO, the best brand is Natren. Very high quality stuff, and they have non-dairy versions. Their Bifido Factor(bifidobacteria) is great; acidophilus is over-rated. (See Dr. Anderson's "Cleans and Purify Thyself" for why).

My favorite probiotics are from E3 Live.

I add them to green smoothies, and I use them to make sauerkraut, kimchi, and seed cheese.
