how to break down plant cell walls?

I've heard a few conflicting opinions on how to break down plant cell walls. What are the best raw ways to do it? I'm pretty confident that fermenting is a good way..and I heard freezing also is good.. but I hear some people say that blending etc just doesn't cut it. Would marinating/dehydrating be enough I wonder? I also read somewhere that juicing means you lose virtually all the minerals etc. Not sure I believe this. Hope not anyway as I love my green juice! Would love to hear your opinions?

Blending. Or mincing. Freezing is harsh but gets the job done. It depends on what you wish the product to be like.
