I have been 90+ percent raw for 3 years now. There is no specific cleansing program, it is more like a cleansing life style.
Sprouts, indoor greens, green juices, fruits, and drinks from fermented veggies (cabbage, onions, beets, lentils, mung beans). And many hours per week at the gym.

I could use a good colonic right now.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get it done once I can save up for it. I finally saw a photo of someone having the procedure done and it really doesn't look so bad -- not at all like I had imagined. Just a casual examination room, and funny, also never dawned on me that one would be covered with a blanket during. My mental picture prior seems rather... humorous... now, in comparison.

OMG! I hate it, so uncomfortable lol. I'm assuming you are talking about colon hydrotherapy?colonic? If you don't have the money just use an enima bucket you can get online very cheap. Follow that up with 4oz. of wheatgrass juice. You don't even need wheatgrass juice if you only do this once a week. Might not be as good as colonic but still pretty good! Use 1500ml of warm distilled water, enjoy!

Should not the body be self cleansing after years on raw food and juices?

I guess the optimal health state cannot be regained once you loose it at young age?

And our parents are guilty?

Optimal health can most definitely be regained after being very sick and we can change our gene expressions through diet and lifestyle (epigenetics), so even if one is stuck with undesirable genes, they can switch those genes off and turn on health-promoting genes. Many leaders in the natural health community used to have terrible health but are now thriving such as Lou Corona and Brian Clement. There are many more examples.

You have been here long enough to know this right? Even the healthiest people out there are always toxic, that unfortunately is the outcome of years of pouring toxins into our environment. Even the BEST organic vegies have some pesticieds in them...from what I have read. We are born with toxins, the only thing we can do is always eat clean and to some gental cleansing.

Whom ever can afford it BUY ORGANIC, sometimes that is the ony thing we can do.

Go here and sign some of their petitions, PLEASE! it is all we/some of can do. With time and money constrants the least we can do is sign these petitions, it's easy...click, click.

"Many leaders in the natural health community used to have terrible health but are now thriving such as Lou Corona and Brian Clement"

That is a great sign of encouragement.

"Whom ever can afford it BUY ORGANIC, sometimes that is the ony thing we can do."

The best approach is to get into indoor sprouts and micro greens then you have full control because organic in the store may not be really organic and usually it is too expensive.

I totally agree with Prana, and I would add that including an occasional fast plus exercise - especially yoga - is beneficial also. This is not just for achieving regularity, but also for cleaning out previous years of accumulated waste. Enemas/colon hydrotherapy are intrusive and often lead to a decrease in the body's natural eliminative abilities (and you may regret that).

My advice is: trust your body. Try not to overeat, put only good stuff in, and drink sufficient water (Your mouth is the preferred and most natural receptacle for water). The bad stuff will come out at the speed that your body determines is optimal for you.

Thanks for posting the petition CommonSenseRaw!

"Enemas/colon hydrotherapy are intrusive and often lead to a decrease in the body's natural eliminative abilities (and you may regret that)."

They rapidly and more effectively detox the colon than simply eating raw foods. You still eliminate food everyday so this shouldn't be an issue and I've never heard of it being an issue for anyone. After you get to a certain level of cleanliness, there's no need to continue doing it everyday, but colon hydrotherapy can detox you on a more deeper scale than raw foods or fiber can.

"The bad stuff will come out at the speed that your body determines is optimal for you."

Why wait multiple years when you could do it in months or much less time? You reduce detox symptoms and suffer less. The only problem is it's expensive. Most people have been overburdened with toxicity so this provides faster relief.

Ok guys I gave my guy a red hot water bag enema. He actually took the entire bag the very first time. I was impressed. I loved it when he kept running to the toilet every twenty minutes.

Very well said. Nature is very slow.

We live in non optimal world where even the simple food like bananas are never fully ripe for eating, they leave a lot of waste in the body.
So regular internal cleansing is very important.
