Do you know where I can get high-quality coconut water? Only source I've been able to find is [www.exoticsuperfoods.com] but shipping is ridiculous and makes it not worth paying for. It's almost as much as the product itself.

oils are good for the skin (anti wrinkle). People with natural low oil in the skin develop wrinkles easier (specially when skinny). For the skin, I've read that coconut, almond, olive, and avacado oils are really good (full of vitamins A, E, acids, etc). Myself, I only use coconut oil but maybe I should start using others oils by making almond milk or spreading avocado on the face je je winking smiley

Coconut is part of my diet.

But it depends on where I am.

If I am in an area where I can get fresh raw young coconut, I will go for the water and the soft meat.

If I am not close to fresh raw coconut supply, I go for hard coconut.
I search for good quality hard coconut in town and get the meat out, cut it into small pieces and put them in the freezer.
I do the same for pomegranate seeds, I break the fruits, get the seeds and freeze them where they are in season.

About twice a week I would make a smoothies with either coconut or/and pomegranate seeds and some banana. You need to use a high speed blender.
Good fiber and good nutrients.

What do you usually put with the coconut meat? Like what sort of liquid and other fruits? I opened a mature coconut a couple of weeks ago (maybe longer!) and I never used it. I didn't think to freeze it.

If you do not freeze them they will spoil even just being in the fridge.

And coconut is very dense in oil so you cannot eat them all in one or two days.
So if I know I will make coconut smoothies or ice cream, I will take few pieces from the freezer and put them in the lower part of the fridge the night before.

The next day they are unfrozen and ready to be blended without too many cycles.
I usually use some fermented liquid like rejuvelac or some from my ferments plus some banana.

Because I drink a lot green juices this provide me a good source of fiber.

I usually eat a tablespoon of coconut oil a day. Soon I'll be increasing my intake from 1 tablespoon a day to 2 tablespoons a day.
