Date: March 06, 2014 04:30PM I'm sure that many of y'all have noticed how purple kale is often used in flower beds and this morning I noticed that some of them were starting to bloom yellow flowers and was wondering if any of y'all have ever eaten the yellow flowers and what they tasted like.
Here are some pictures of what they look like... [www.fennelandfern.co.uk] [ixquick-proxy.com] I love to eat the yellow sorrels when they come out this time of year as they have an interesting nutty flavor and the pink sorrels are almost too tart and remind me of sweet tarts that I used to eat as a kid. Here are some pictures of yellow and the pink sorrels... Date: March 06, 2014 05:20PM John, you can eat ornamental kale, right? I have done so unintentionally and it tasted great.
I never understood the attraction of planting heads of cabbage as decoration. Re: Flowering Purple Kale & Yellow & Pink Sorrels...

Thanks for the feedback and as far as I know, they are edible, but I have not done any real research on the subject. By the way, have you checked your PMs lately? Re: Flowering Purple Kale & Yellow & Pink Sorrels...
