Someone said this a few days ago but seems to have totally forgotten it. Maybe you would benefit by reading it again...

It is so strange to see some one so committed to finding what is wrong with other people diet instead of focusing on their own diet.

If your diet is so good and so healthy just enjoy it and leave others alone."

No, utopian, cups are not grams. Grams are a measurement of weight.

lol, I know. smiling smiley Later you mentioned 5.5 cups and I didn't know what it was referring to, so I was just asking. Did you always find seaweed palatable?

ETA: I thought you were estimating cups for someone who doesn't have a scale.

Yes, I use all of it at once. It's about 5 1/2 cups worth. I like to blend everything together but the avocado which I add at the end when everything else has been blended so it doesn't get too fluffy. All of the ingredients go very well together and this one doesn't go well with lemon, IMO, it throws it off.

Everyone is different but for me limes go better with avocados than lemons do for most other recipes.

Use all of "it" at once - is this the dressing, the seaweed, the greens? Sorry, just didn't know.

No, but I ate them anyway except when I was eating hclf vegan.

Now I absolutely love them because I found an excellent source of the high quality stuff.

My favorites are their Dulse, Digitata, Alaria, and Nori. I don't like the Bladder wrack but it's in my rotation anyway. I stay away from their "fertilizer" which is the type most companies sell in capsules and powders - nasty tasting stuff.

It is my combo adaptation of a Tavis recipe for one of his medicinal salad dressings for a medicinal salad. The rest of his ingredients I often add to this either as juices or blended. These ingredients include the lettuces, sprouts, and other nutrient dense veggies. This is most of what I eat in a day sometimes - I just usually add a breakfast like raw flax seeds with coconut oil. I usually eat nothing after about 2 pm except a quart of green juice.

I just started adding greens powder to my routine for this week which has seaweed. I used to eat seaweed every day when I first went raw, until twice I found little sea creatures in the seaweed, dried up. sad smiley But I don't find the taste palatable anymore, unfort.

I inspect my seaweed very well because I do not wash it before eating it. I've never found any animals, or their parts, in it. The closer you buy things to whole and from good people the better your chances of getting it both clean and animal free.

Recently I read, somewhere on the web, a post by a guy who said he had a friend that worked at a whey processing plant who told him they always run everything through the mill one extra time to grind up any roaches, etc, which got into the stuff at the infested plant.

Clearly you haven't seen any of the vast scientific literature on turmeric.

This is only a fraction of the proven health benefits of turmeric.

And xylitol has some amazing properties, too. Anyone up for having the enamel growing back on their teeth, for instance?

I found this, [www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov], but have you personally had this happen?

I haven't looked yet but my teeth seem less sensitive. I haven't been able to relocate yet the microscopic photo I saw of the process occurring in a test study.

What kinds of greens do you use?

Romaine hearts, kale, chard, collards, baby spinach, baby arugula, sprouts, and weeds, etc.

I usually use milder leafy greens like cilantro and parsley to use more with cucumbers, fennel, celery, dill, mint, and unknowns from the Mexican grocery store for regular juicing.

I have all of these greens, and more, that I mention in the fridge right now because I shopped today at several stores.

What kind of juicer do you have and can you juice all sprouts with it? I have a Hurom HU-100 and can only juice grasses and sunflower greens so far. I need to an Angel Juicer, over a grand but well worth it if you're going to be drinking large amounts of sprout/grass juice. About to test out my first batch of radish sprouts tomorrow.

First I use a Samson single auger juicer. I just use it with the blank plate/mincer inserted to macerate - it's faster and way easier to clean than messing with juicing screens and a bunch of little nooks and crannies like double auger juicers, like the Green Star, etc.,have.

Then I use a Welles/People's Press hydraulic press for pressing out the juice. In my experience using these two juicers this way is easier, faster, and more efficient than using just the Samson in juicer mode and having both is good for versatility. I've used the Wells press alone for juicy fruits like pomegranate, pineapple, and watermelon for absolutely pulp free juice, for instance.

Personally, if didn't have the setup I have now, and I were going to go sproutarian, for use with sprouts and grasses I'd go with a single auger ss electric wheatgrass juicer like this...

Did I read sedentary before?
Because that is a whole enterprise operation for feeding a whole family.
One juicer is not even enough.
You are dedicated and that is a good example.
Gone are the days when you could just grab an apple and slice of pizza...

Tried out the recipe again, this time added 1/2 teaspoon of pure curcumin, measured out the water more precisely (about 5 oz.) and used a full red bell pepper... turned out great. The taste isn't anything mind-blowing but it's good enough. Harvested the radish sprouts, pretty spicy.

I'm assuming, as you used so little water, that you retried this one you posted that you used before...

"I used one avocado, a clove of garlic, half red bell pepper, and a little water... tasted alright. Used it on a broccoli sprout salad. Might use a little more garlic and red bell pepper next time"

I hope you try the recipe I gave you. It doesn't look like it would be but it is fabulous.

Yeah I retried my earlier version, I don't currently have any cayenne pepper, dulse, or xylitol. How is the dulse from theseaweedman, is it soft and easy to chew and do you normally soak it before you use it? Alone, I don't like avocados so it's nice to be able to eat them and not really taste it through dressings.

I always put my seaweed into the VitaMix dry but it's probably better to soak it a bit before blending. If you want the option of eating it straight from the package it softens up quickly with a spray mist of water but Maine Coast Sea Vegetables Co's dulse is softer. You may want to get that brand to try anyway to start off with as it comes in smaller packages. I wouldn't get their flakes, though. They aren't as good and can't hold their moisture.

Some nurses from Indonesia keep trying to get me to try avocados blended with some substitute for the condensed milk they use. I can't bring myself to try that yet.

Nori and dulse are soft in a couple of minutes. For North Atlantic alaria, the kelps, and bladderwrack probably ten to fifteen minutes would make it easier on the blender. My stash of pre-Fukushima seaweeds take longer as they were dried at higher temps and the kelp, especially, is thicker. Seaweedman. because he practices sustainable harvesting, takes the younger plants that are closer to the surface which aren't as tough and old.
