Panchito, can you give a synopsis of the youtube rather than making us watch this potential marketing ploy. Is he really eating a paleo diet, with the inclusion of animal products, or is this a gimmick?

Haven't look carefully, but from a quick look, it seems they sell fish oil supplements on their website: [www.therawfoodworld.com]

Quote

Ultra pure, high potency fish oil rich in EPA and DHA, Omega-3 fish oils have become widely known and embraced by the medical and scientific community for the support of cardiovascular, brain and nervous system health. Oceans 3 is formulated using fish oils carefully purified using multiple-stage molecular distillation process that both concentrates the EPA and DHA and removes environmental toxins.

never going to buy from them

Panchito, please don't post youtubes that you yourself haven't watched! You could be posting total spam, it that your intention? Or is Matt of such high integrity that you trust his video sight unseen?

Sorry, I did not watch the whole thing. On a comment, someone said that he only eats honey (as animal product). He verbally recommends eating meat to bread as a better healthy choice.

So now you've gone from posting cut and paste lists of other peoples study collections you haven't bothered to read and don't understand to posting videos that you haven't bothered to watch.

You know that doesn't mean he, himself, has gone paleo but that didn't stop you from lying in your thread subject line.

Did y'all watch the whole video? I did.

He is couching it as "you don't have to eat all raw, just don't eat processed foods" (esp. sugar and refined starches). A kind of escape clause, which he doesn't have to do, because we were built to eat whatever we wish, no point in forcing ourselves to eat in a way that doesn't satisfy us.

But we should own up to the fact that we are making some large changes that are quite opposed to our former diet that we once enthusiastically promoted. He said that all-raw people are "insane", it's like "eating water". He feels that you detox too fast on all-raw. Just eat a cooked whole-food diet is his advice, so much less withdrawal symptoms.

Anyway, I wonder if he'll re-name his company and start selling other foods, not just raw.

I wish Monarch would just give his info minus the hysterics.

I understand what you say. Yes, I did not watch the whole thing. But what I understood (watched ~ 1/2) is something different. He was now promoting a whole food diet, which included animals as wholefood. Thus he was promoting a paleo diet. Not sure if he follows what he talks or not.

Someone told me that jtprindl has changed to raw paleo diet too but I can't say for sure. Let me repeat-I don't know if that's true. Maybe jt could care to comment.

Oh brother! This is the sort of crap Durian Rider is infamous for! Take a grain of truth and use it to promote something that simply isn't true.

Matt has been doing this for a long time now. It's only to increase his base (or else he saw the writing on the wall and figured that the 100% raw vegan ship had sailed). It has nothing to do with his personal diet.

I do wonder about Angela these days. I saw on her FB page that someone wished her happy raw-versary and she quietly thanked them but in the past she would always post about how she was so many years 100% raw. So it's possible that she has incorporated some cooked foods into her diet, perhaps due to what she feeds her daughter. Who knows?

I disagree. I was a faithful watcher of his videos for several years and he was really militant about being 100% raw. I think he received a lot of blowback for that because the majority of his customers might just be raw wannabes like me! smiling smiley If you look on the first page of this site, they have a poll you take to find out the percentage of raw in one's diet and I think the average amount was under 40% raw! LOL...So Matt probably got a lot of crap because his attitude was very elitist and then you have the Adya Clarity deal and the tarnishing of the brand and he wanted to broaden his base. I don't think it reflects his personal diet.

Freelee seems to have done the same thing. Now she is showing lots of cooked dishes. She is just trying to get as many subscribers and views as possible because it is more profitable than appealing to a fringe group.

one thing is recommending cook vegan food and another very different is recommending meat as a "whole food" without saying its negative health effects. The fact that he recommends meat in a raw vegan website, makes him a hypocrite. Don't know the motives, but maybe he is trying to widen the circle of customers and sales.

What raw vegan website did he recommend eating meat at? I haven't seen him posting at this raw vegan website at all.

In your head, as you've said here before, you can eat 25% cooked food and still be considered raw vegan so your personalized definition system is very sloppy and just plain wrong.

Due to that fact you can't have any idea if a raw vegan high carb low fat diet really works for you since you are not on one. This does not stop you from continuously promoting it as working for you. You want to talk about hypocrisy - look in your mirror as you do so.

Don't try to pretend I'm not getting this right. I get it. You, too, as Panchito is, are fine with defining Panchito's 25% cooked diet as a raw vegan diet and are also ok with him thinking there's no problem for him to brag about how well he's doing on a raw vegan high carb low fat diet which he isn't really on. Nothing for you to comment on there is there? Of course not for as you've already said, in many ways, for you the ends justify the means.

Instead of addressing those Panchito deceptions, once again as ever, you would have readers turn from those TRUTHS and instead call me a troll for pointing them out. Clearly you have no interest in the truth further than for rooting it out so that you can smother it. Thank goodness you are so ineptly transparent with your attempts that the truth speaks for itself for most people.

Matt said one time that it was worse to eat refined carbs than meat (maybe a small quantity of it?) because it clogs the system. I don't think he ever recommended dairy, by the way. In any case, it really doesn't make him a hypocrite if he's not an ethical vegan. Not all vegans do it for the animals except themselves. Some just think it's healthier. I remember them doing a video where they fed raw meat to their dogs and I thought--"Wow, I guess they're not really all that concerned about killing animals after all." I would feed my dog vegetarian (MAYBE scrambled eggs sometimes but never dead flesh).

My dog cannot kill a squirrel in the backyard. But he likes dead meat. Very strange.

LOL! I never thought of most dogs as killers the way cats are.
