A bucket of dark greens EVERYDAY! Sprout your vegetables! Sprout your dinner every day ! (Pics inside)
Date: September 17, 2014 01:12AM

Juice a bucket of greens every day and rotate your greens to avoid problems with toxins and anti nutrients.

Get those grains into you, but sprout them into grass for best benefit.

Get those peas into you, but sprout them into greens for best benefit.

Get those seeds into you, but sprout them into greens for best benefit.

Get those vegetables into you, but sprout them into baby greens for best benefit. No green mature vegetables will ever touch my mouth, no way!!! Sproutarians don't engage in that type of monkey business. Mature green vegetables, pthhh.

Get those weeds into you, but for best benefit sprout them into baby greens.

Get the fruit into you, but for best benefit sprout the fruit into greens.

Here's my boys, the big boys of the raw food world. A bunch of family members are not present in the pictures, but many other members are lurking on the side scenes cheering the other family members on. There are about 100 members all up growing in wonderful glory, but maybe about 30 in the pictures.

Let me introduce you to my boys by name. We have:

* Daikon radish sprout greens
* Chia grass greens
* Sunflower greens (just arrived back on the scene after a long cold winter)
* Blue pea greens
* Brocolli sprout greens
* Rye grass greens
* Fenugreek sprout greens

Also got a bunch of green growing on top of the unit and dozens growing still in darkness waiting to come out of hiding.

The chia grass...a thing of beauty and one of the very best greens.

Half eaten grass and blue peas.

Blue peas.

Fenugreek, daikon radish, brocolli

Remember folks....meditating on the light will bring in all the colours lacking in any of the foods. Meditate on the rainbow and you will get full spectrum of colours.

Regards dear brothers and sisters,

Glad everyone likes the set-up. Will be doing some filming on Friday.

From the countless hours of research l have done, and in my experience, nothing comes close to touching the sprouts as a food source. I don't say these things lightly.

Toxins anyone? Pthhh, we can do lots to fix those issues. Indigestable fiber/sugars anyone? You better believe it, that's what we want because it serves as an important prebiotic.

What l need to do now is to have custom equipment made to do all the sprouting for me and then to have other people do the same. It cost thousands but it buys our lives back so we no longer have to be slaves to the sprout farming. winking smiley

Evenstill...got to work out a way to make sprouts taste better for the average person. Maybe I introduce levels of eating where people can add stevia to sprouts or honeycomb to make it less hardcore.

"What l need to do now is to have custom equipment made to do all the sprouting for me and then to have other people do the same. It cost thousands but it buys our lives back so we no longer have to be slaves to the sprout farming."

That'd be revolutionary for people who grow lots of sprouts lol.

"Evenstill...got to work out a way to make sprouts taste better for the average person. Maybe I introduce levels of eating where people can add stevia to sprouts or honeycomb to make it less hardcore."

I've found that sunflower green juice easily masks the potent taste of many sprout drinks. Stevia would be a nice option, even better if they grew it themselves and juiced the leaves. Could also use cucumber to water it down or maybe some type of mint.

"From the countless hours of research l have done, and in my experience, nothing comes close to touching the sprouts as a food source. I don't say these things lightly."

Had a 18-20 oz. green juice yesterday with sunflower greens, broccoli sprouts and wheatgrass... and after I drank it I felt this warm, tingling sensation all over my body for a while. It's also nice knowing that this one drink is going to provide me with massive amounts of potent phytochemicals with long-lasting protective effects. Can't wait until I'm juicing crazy amounts of sprouts/grass as well as consuming 5-6 algae's every day. If I can take 1 TBS of extra-virgin coconut oil with 3 TBS of AFA and literally have no hunger w/ high energy while being physically active at work in the sun on a low calorie diet, I can't even imagine how I'd feel if I added marine phyto and astaxanthin (other powerful brain boosting algaes) to the mix. I NEED to try this.

That's right. And when you get up to 32 oz it can last all day long for close to 10+ hours of feeling amazing. You feel warm and strong and good. If you do FRESH vegetable juice you never get that feeling in my experience. Something in the sprouts boosts levels that no other foods can. It's hard work growing the sprouts, but the power is addictive.

Dear sproutslave,

Of yes, must get those hulls off because they can make the sprouts rot much easier. Dehulling is a pain but can be avoided when you grow alfalfa etc on trays like this:

[www.rawfoodsupport.com]

[rawfoodstalk.com]

I sprout all sprouts on trays during the warmer weather and my work is minimised, but during winter the temp outside in the greenhouse is not warm enough for the hulls to fall off and the sprouts can rot.

Another thing we can do is buy a customised sprout dehuller.

Daikon radish sprouts. Possibly the highest source of vitamin A, C and E on earth and one of the highest phytochemical antioxidant foods with far superior and longer lasting effects compared with the usual antioxidant vitamins. The peer reviewed science fully backs this up.

If you want the big guns of the raw food world you eat sunflower greens, daikon radish, brocolli and grasses. Vegetables are very important, but not the greatly inferior mature vegetable, l talk about sprouted vegetables.

Flax grass - sprouting flax into grass increases antioxidant content by over 1,000% according to peer reviewd literature.

Daikon/brocolli mixed with grass and other greens make an excellent tasting drink. The brocolli/radish really adds the needed kick to the juices. Thumbs to to the vegetable sprouts, they are superstars of nutrition.

Contrary to what many say, living off sprouts is NOT cheap in Australia, it is actually very expensive, far more expensive than in the U.S. In Australia sprouts can cost up to 10 times the price because we need to import various seeds like broccoli, radish and others. Import costs include a phytosanitory certiificate, import licenece fees, taxes, lab test fees (massive costs), cartage costs etc. A $50 bag of alfalfa from the U.S will cost around $1,800 by the time it comes to Oz and gets through customs, l know this because l have done it.

Chlorella, E3 live, hydrilla and seaweeds also cost a lot. Some seeds are almost $200 per kilo. The sproutarian lifestyle costs a LOT.

>
> And, what do you eat beyond sprouts?

Often my diet is 99.5% sprouts. My diet is very unusal in that way. I am a real sproutarian purist in that it is almost my entire diet. I rarely do fruit and never do vegetables.

l mainly do sprouts, algae, seaweeds, but am recently doing more nut ferments. Fruits and vegetables don't work well for me so l prefer to avoid them....they don't power me up. The sprouts work by far the best for me and put me in a place l need to be at to function at my absolute best.

Oh, I was wondering. Do you possibly know some peaceful method for snails? My mum is growing some greens etc and she is not happy with the damage they cause. The method that I had been using in the past is to visit the greenhouse where the greens are grown at night, when they come out, and collect them and put them somewhere else. But I was wondering whether you might know some other (non-lethal) method? Do you ever see snails coming and wanting to eat your sprouts?

Every single night snails and slugs cover my jars out on the lawn and there is nothing l can do about it. I move the snails and put them somewhere else, but an hour later more are there. The jars get so slimey that they almost fall out of my hands. Urk.

I am very lucky this year because l have only seen one snail laying among my grasses. Previous years l used to find about 5 or 6 massive slugs laying in my grasses and sunflower greens each evening or morning.

I also get rats eating my freshly planted microgreens so l need to sprout peas specially for them to eat so they leave my trays alone. If l don't feed them sprouted peas, over 50% of my planting will be lost in a night. I can make a wire cage but it is tricky with my set-up, so l just fill a container with sprouts and leave it for the rats. Sometimes the rats don't come for months, but other times they are hungry.

I need to make sure my greens are washed and drained in a collander before juicing. Got to get any slime off.

John Kohler method
Of course some people use copper around their garden area which is said to give the snails a little frequency jolt, but that may not be acceptable for some people. Personally l would prefer not to do that.

Another problem during the months from spring - summer are lots of tiny bugs getting into jar sprouts. They love things like fenugreek. I put layer upon layer upon layer of mesh (see pictures) to try and keep them out, but they defy science and seem to get through holes much smaller than they are. It is a mystery how they do it. Need to keep the sprouts moist to discourage them, but sometimes l will find 5 or 6 bugs in the jars, other times l might find 20 or more. At times l have found over 50 in some jars that l throw out. I am sure l get the odd bug wing in my juice, but l am not so fussed because l see myself as a meat eater because l consume bacteria in the air etc. Is there any such thing as a person who doesn't eat meat?...l don't think so.

Some bugs do unfortuntely get drowned when l water my jar sprouts, but it is unpreventable. We live in a karma system, and spiritual masters say it is designed that way, for we cannot exist in a physical body without some karma. We walk on ants, we consume bacteria from the air etc...there is no such thing as a karma free feast and the word vegan is a very dubious word l prefer not to use because vegans still consume living creatures. I think the spiritual masters are correct, we need karma to stay in a physical body because karma is unpreventable in a physical body.

I guess one just needs to learn accept the slugs and the bugs! Still, it is much better if one can have freshly picked home-grown foods. I bet these are far more nutritious than what has been lying on the supermarket shelves for some time. I am keen to get the second greenhouse installed so that I can grow some melons.

Oh yes, l always talk about these things. The science is quite shocking on the post harvest losses. Even worse is the fact that the losses measured are only a fraction of the potential losses, so in reality the losses will be a whole lot worse than we can comprehend. If l had time l would paint a true nightmare scenario for shop bought fruits and vegetables, and l have painted the nightmare numerous times online. I always talk strongly against store bought produce and always encourage people to grow as least their greens themselves, but l take my ideas much much further, but with you being a N.H person, you might not want to hear my harsh words. winking smiley I am very tough on diets, but l am fair because l use the science to highlight possible issues.

WOW, you don't know how pleased l am to read that. So many raw fooders are brainwashed by guru thinking, narrow minded and profoundly under studied, but you are a complete breath of fresh air. I feel EXACTLY the same. This is what we need, more people to be like this so we can move forward and learn from the nonsense of the past.

I will say that l loved what you wrote in this thread. Lots on baloney and nonsense talk in this thread, but you were having none of it and called it out for the rot that it was. Brilliant! Your posts were spot on.
[www.rawfoodsupport.com]

It's very difficult to have good discussions with many raw vegans because many tend to live in a fantasy world because the movement tends to draw the dreamers to it IMO. It's not a put down, but it is a statement to highlight the need to put the fantasy world aside, look at the reality of the situation, use some common sense and also use the science to help when needed.

We want to get rid of the raw food 101 talk and grow up as a movement by changing the culture of nonsense that has dogged the movement for decades. I have growmn tired of nonsense, and l want to spend most of my time talking with open minded people where we don't have ego so we can learn from each other without trying to be the hero.

Gosia, l shall contact you soon, l have not forgotten. There are many good things we could talk about because we do have much common ground.

I am the anti-guru. Oh yes indeed, l want people to think for themselves and be their own guru. We can be our own gurus but we need to clean out the nonsense and learn to eat the way which makes us feel best, but this comes from experimentation, study and maybe some help from others to get basic pointers.

It's now time we grew up as a movement and got down to business. I don't just talk the talk Gosia, l walk the talk. I am doing exactly what l have been saying.

This morning's soaking of seeds:

alfalfa, brocolli, fenugreek, chia, sunflower seeds. Notice how some jars are bigger than others.

Soon will come time to ditch most of the jars and grow everything on trays, it is much easier with less work.

I will do an experiement and try to juice 24 oz of sprout juice twice per day.
