Date: September 20, 2014 09:56PM Hi LaV, I stopped eating mushrooms when I became raw vegan because I heard they can cause cancer. Then, I incorporated them back after hearing Dr. Joel Fuhrma said they heal or prevent cancer, especially breast cancer, if eaten cooked. Yes, they are a great source of Vitamin D, another reason why he promotes them.
I only eat them cooked now. Sorry that's not the answer you were looking for. Therese Re: hydrazines

You have put an end to my raw portobello mushroom eating. You, and a little research, have stopped my romance with the portobello cap. It was short-lived anyway. Apparently cooking them makes them innocuous but that won't work for me. Re: hydrazines
