Yes, "Doug's mistakes and cover-ups are dangerous and unethical" and the last thing that I am doing is making any excuses for Doug, but "Doug's mistakes and cover-ups" pale in comparison to giving Chemotherapy to children. In fact, they pale in comparison to EVERYTHING Conventional Medicine does, except for Emergency or Trauma cases.

I am NOT "trying to shield" Doug as I have written many Posts on his FLAWS.

All I was trying to do is put things in perspective.

Conventional Medicine is far more DANGEROUS and UNETHICAL than Doug!!!

The question then is can we achieve a high fat raw vegan diet without the oils?
I am not confortable DRINKING OIL.
That is not a natural approach.

I think National Geographic should do a study/episode about OIL DRINKERS. They wait for the delivery truck to get fresh oil. Once they get the fix, they attack non oilers and try to convert people with trick. Once a drink oiler bytes you on the neck you are one of them. Never try a glass of oil. They hate sugar. Spread sugar around the bed so they don't climb at you.

I wonder whatever happened to Tavis. Maybe it was all to phony for him. It was so nice to see a nutrition person come on the scene with a novel approach. I also enjoyed that he wasn't smarmy and glib like the typical raw spokesguru. I'm going to give his tonics a try and see what happens. Hopefully he has a book coming out soon.

If you watch the whole video, you'll learn that in no way is he promoting the mass consumption of grocery store fruit.

Tavis does private consultations through word of mouth in person and through Skype, etc. It's expensive. I'm hoping he will come out with those books he said he's writing, too.

Again, that's not saying much because the vast majority of doctors know absolutely nothing about preventing and healing disease without prescribing some type of medication which simply covers up the symptoms and doesn't address the cause. Doug is charging lots of money to tell people about basic things such as the benefits of raw food and juice fasting (things that can be learned for free with a few hours of research) and then doesn't even take any responsibility for truly guiding people throughout the process. Much of his advice/traits are tantamount to what conventional doctors are doing. He's recommending a diet that can leave one severely mentally impaired and nutrient deficient, telling people who are on the brink of death and already deprived of nutrition to go on water fasts, and demonstrating tons of negligence.

They seem to have no ethics. Lies, half-truths, covering up lies, sneaky deceptions, clannish cultishness, self righteous puffery. They don't even mind putting up the picture of some poor dying woman and alluding that it's someone who calls their bluff - me. Those are just a few of the reasons a lot of people think raw vegans are emotionally frozen tweens in adult bodies.

What the raw food world needs is sensible adults. The tweens in adult bodies need their heads clunked together to knock some sense in them - but don't do that or they'll regress even further back into their childhood selves and scream "bully" and "meany" as though you'd taken away their bag of trick-or-treat candy on Haloween.

I was referring strictly to Doug Graham's failing protocol's and negligent behavior and how it is similar to a conventional doctor mentality. You are not saying anything mind-blowing or ground-breaking when you insinuate that eating raw foods could make people healthier. It can go both ways depending on if the diet is well-planned or not. Following Doug Graham's methods can lead to major nutritional deficiencies which can lead to chronic disease. I didn't know I had to put the pieces together for you but I'm happy to do so.

I like tavis alright, even though most everything he says was previously said by robert cassar. I tried to contact him recently and found that he charges 300 per hour on skype. Pretty bold for someone who hasnt revealed his credentials, and that I cant seem to find any testimonials from these stage four cancer patients he has supposedly cured

Tavis doesn't claim to own the knowledge pool. When these similarities between his and Cassar's work were pointed out to him he said he went to Cassar's website for the first time as he was not aware of him. Tavis commented that Cassar was a beautiful soul. Or something like that. Yeah, he's not cheap. He does do a lot of pro bono work though.

He has a good PR approach to his messages. The lighting , colors are all well done. The content is questionable. Avocado plus olive oils I still cannot comprehend. Maybe the light will come one day.

I don't know what his rational for it is but in my experience adding the other oils to avocados both makes avocados easier to digest and cuts down digestion time. I also find it very delicious. I certainly never would have thought of doing it on my own and was leery of trying it too. Glad I did. Now it's one of my favorite things to do and makes staying raw a pleasure rather than difficult.

You're welcome. I had it this morning with a t. of 210 SHU Birdseye pepper and 1 T. of mixed peppercorns I ground up. I'm getting ready to have my second dose even though it's still hitting me pretty heavily still.

Yesterday I wiped out all the area stores of ripe pomegranates and intend to do a marathon of this dish until I can't take any more. It's intense. Be careful.
