You're still importing the $30 a bag (month's worth) of hydrilla when it grows all over OZ and can be had for free? Have you re-lost those maps of where it is found in abundance I posted for you twice?

Yes, I do run it through the food processor raw, but being it is only a small amount of the mix itself and the mix is only a supplement to other fresh foods, I don't worry too much about it. I have heard evidence for and against raw sweet potatoes, but I think it's moderations and common sense that's the key. He will not eat them unless they are mixed in with other foods.

I'm not a fan of pellets, but they are better than a diet of all commercial seed mixes. It's great your mom is getting her to eat some fresh produce. A good diet has to start somewhere and the more she eats, the healthier she'll begrinning smiley

For those of you with parrots - mine just loves raw organic sweet corn on the cob. I've been chopping a half of a cob a day into inch wide wheels for him every day since it came in season. He never has touched the dried dent corn in his mix but the raw sweet corn is his favorite this time of year.

I don't have a camera (even a non digital one) and am too computer illiterate to post photos on the internet anyway so no. He is a very large yellow nape parrot. He's been in the family for 30 years.

I still have those maps. I will need to take some of the weed and grow it myself. I just need to dedicate some good time to do this project and learn how to do it right, and l will.

That bag was $220. It is 1 kg, and with the dollar depreciated the cost for importing is expensive.

I made guacamole 3 from Ann Wigmore's book. I want to make them as she ate them. She was not a chef it seems, but I want to get down to the gritty..

Guacamole with coconut oil, mmm no, not really a good taste. But its a different taste.

I made another Ann Wigmore recipe, this time the garbanzo croquettes, took me days. Tasted, I dont know, maybe if it was 1970 and there was no food around...I have such variety of raw vegan prepared foods from my coop that are much more appetizing, than carrot and garbanzo croquettes. But I made it and am proud and it is sitting in my fridge. Noone will eat it. But I can taste what storage food might taste like in days to come.

As you can see I also made the raw vegan tabbouleh recipe on that page above.

Its a MK recipe

I usually use a veggie chopper but I lost the top so I had to dice myself and I only had a dull knife. It would look nicer of course, if all the pieces were uniform.

Coconutcream, as usual, the pics you post are delicious smiling smiley

My birthday menu yesterday, September 27, 2015:

- 2 kg awsome green grapes (my birthday candies) (lunch)
- 5 tomatoes and 2 bell peppers (snack)
- 1 delicious Cockett's Red apple (snack)
- zoodles with my sauce of tomatoes, zucchinis, carrot pulp from the carrot juice, bell peppers, fresh dill (8 zucchinis, 2 kg tomatoes, 3 bell peppers, around 250 g carrot pulp, 1 large bunch of fresh dill), next to 5 cucumbers and few tomatoes (dinner)
- drinks: 2 liters still water

I wouldn't choose any other birthday menu. Raw vegan birthday for the win. I'm now 37 years young smiling smiley

Raw vegan mac and cheese like baked MK recipe loosely in his book everyday raw. The coop didnt have yellow squash and I think I later added some chopped greens to this it was very creamy.

I take a bite at a time everytime I get the feeling, walking by the kitchen

It looks very delicious.
How long it takes to chew all of that at the rate of 30 times per mouthful?
These types of meals are rare in my diet.

I wish I could. My digestive system is still a work in progress...
I stick for now with tender greens like sprouts, indoor greens.
Root veggies and tough greens are still for the juicer.
