Just found out that Trader Joe's will now sell "raw" sunflower seeds that have been steam-pasteurized. So that means that my last couple of bags (now gone) were really raw. From North Dakota, no less! They tasted very fresh, too. $1.99 a pound.

Does anyone know of inexpensive sunflower seeds that are NOT from China (don't have to be organic) and really raw?

Hey, thanks for the link! I see that they are way more expensive but it looks like at least they are organic.

What are the shipping rates, though? And another strange thing is that they said they would withhold taxes for the state of Maine but that we were responsible for our taxes, which makes no sense.
