He is a raw food expert. I once had a conversation with him and l have rarely come across such arrogance and narrow views in my entire life. Basically, if you don't live on mainly fruit and do low calorie, you are on the wrong path. He is very very sure of himself, and he gives the impression that most others have no idea about diet. You can't be healthy living on sprouts, you must live mainly on fruit and do fasting.

I asked him "if fruit is the answer, then why are so many failing on fruit diets?" He did his usual answer by saying, "you can't measure the failure of a fruit diet by how many people fail on it" (or something similar).

He does choose his words carefully, but much of what he says is wishy washy such as in this dubious video.

Response to Dr. Gabriel Cousen's Anti-Fruit Video
[www.youtube.com]

He also talks about the dubious glycemic index and loading index like it applies to everyone in order to explain that his fruit diets are safe, and even seems to think we come from the Apes/monkeys etc. So lots of lala land talk and wishy washy talk rolled all into one.

Read most of the article and comments, and all one can say is that he is not a great example of what a high fruit diet and cleansing can do because of ego and the apparent lack of professionalism (healthy body and healthy mind are important), but l am sure he would be able to convince many gullible people he knows what he is talking about and a superstar and shining example to all.

Loren claims to have put thousands of people on fruit diets, but where are all these people??? Are most still living on fruit diets or have they fallen off the wagon? Many questions and comments could be stated, but would take too long to write here.

We really need to teach people how to be their own guru and to use common sense. People have been taught very poorly by raw food leaders so the movement is relying on gurus to do the thinking for them.

He looks pretty healthy to me. Why do you think he's aging quickly?

Good Lord. It looks like this guy just picks up and leaves to a new country every time he's caught up with. It's scary and crazy how many of his ilk are around and their trail of tombstones just keeps lengthening. It seem as though the raw food world is seriously infested with dusky characters of his ilk.

I don't know how old Lockman is but he is not a paragon of health.

Compare any 61-year old raw "guru" to this guy:

Ted Barnett MD, Monroe County Medical Society (involved with PCRM)

He starts talking at 6:57
[www.youtube.com]

He is 61. His skin glows. He is vegan, but not raw. If he dyed his beard and the hair at the sides of his head and around his ears, he could pass for 35.

He is the same age as Doug Graham.

I agree with Suez and Sproutarian man.

Have not met him myself. My judgment of the video:

I do like raw vegans who go online. Not everyone is a winner and some of us have issues. We are all different. Some of us raw vegans are real and others fake. Some of us make videos to sell something. Some just because they have too much time on their hands and love looking at themselves. Others because they really want to help others.

He comes in 5 minutes in.
The sound if not that good. Yes the body is 70% water, we know that. I like that. Bodies are living off body fat. Like polar bears he says, we are.

I am always up for a water fasting retreat. I would love it. Is it just the cost of a room? or you have to pay thousands for water therapy?

I LOVE THIS TOPIC, when a wolf eats its prey and drinks the blood, 90 percent water - then it eats muscle. And how we cook it we lose water. How people drink dehydrating liquids in the morning and dehydrated cereal. ( I like buckwheaties)
How there is no water in that stuff and bad bad bad

Thanks Loren for reminding me the magic of water. I love it.

They know the loopholes so they can avoid responsibility.

Oh yes, it is greatly disturbing. It is up to us to change that by acting with integrity.

I can see changes happening. At the moment people are seriously waking up to nonsense statements and poor behaviour of raw food leaders, and now people are going away from gurus because the internet has caught many out.

People can no longer play the guru card anymore because the internet will catch anyone out who tried to make out he knows it all. The only future is to be honest, love others and to care for them because that is what people like and that is what real leadership is. If you can be a shining example of love and integrity you will always do well. As for the many dubious poorly educated narrow minded egotystical leaders we have now...they aren't a boot's bootstrap because they don't deliver hardly ever and give people what they want, instead, they give themselves what they want...it's all about them and not the people they claim to want to help. ENOUGH!

There is no glamour in a life of service to others. You live to serve others, and that means very little spare time for you. You no longer need to give yourself as much focus because the love for others drives you. I don't see much of that in the raw food scene. We are doing things at the lowest possible level because we have the wrong type of people as leaders in the raw movement. I would be glad to see most of them give up and find a job they are actually good at because they don't offer much at all.

Loren looks really good physically, but as we know, it is not all about the body, it is also about the mind and spirit.

Could you try speaking in an easy to understand language so that WE can communicate instead of trying so hard to be trippy and vague and lofty "above the commeners".

It's like your YouTube channel, you put out a lot of content, but nobodys watching. Are you doing good or merely more harm...?
