Sorry, I was remembering wrong and that just came to me. What I took was a bit different than the MSM form. It was DSMO.

This is the only relatively cheap light that I've seen that is said to be useful for vitamin D production.

I Know. Too bad for those of us who don't live in the subtropics.

When I had tortoises I used full spectrum lights for them which were designed specifically for reptiles. They were a lot less expensive but unfortunately the light of the spectrum you really wanted was the first to give out - usually in just weeks - although the bulbs themselves could last a long time rather uselessly.
