Observations of dietary experiments over the last month
Date: February 28, 2015 04:02AM

Been doing a good cleanout during the last 6 or more weeks on a much higher fruit diet than normal, and the last week has been only fruit, powerful green sprout juices and distilled water during the day and a seed/seaweed/algae at night. Wow, the effects of the cleanse really hit me this morning with a BAM, and now l feel like superman in energy and the most delightful spirits, l feel right off the scale. Yesterday my body was telling me to end the high fruit diet and go back to normal eating, and today l knew was the final day of the cleanse.

One thing l did notice was that my digestion got weaker on the high fruit diet. Why? Because l tried eating non sprouted chia two days ago and it hurt for the first hour because of indigestion (despite having rejuvalic beforehand to help), but the next day l had sprouted chia for dinner and there was no problems because it digested smoothly. A few weeks ago l did non sprouted chia and l was fine. This experiment told me volumes about myself and how sensitive one can become when they eat high fruit diets.

At the end of the day the take home message was that l MUST faithfully adhere to regular fasting on weekends, preferrably distilled water and green juices only. A raw food diet is good, but when you eat the nuts/seeds/legumes/higher fats and grains you still can greatly benefit from a good cleanout.

I have never been a long faster, but l remember going on a 10 day watermelon fast iin the old days and it was the best l have ever felt in my life. My energy and spirits at the end of that fast have never been equalled, l was on cloud 27.

I try to eat between the hours of 2:00 pm - 6:30 pm if l can, but a good cleanout is still needed when one does the heavier foods. The key is to strike a balance and not starve oneself of nutrition, so regular short fasts is probably ideal.

I wouldn't say fruit causes "weak digestion".
I would say other foods cause "poor digestion".

The body always knows what is best for itself.

Part of the concept is eating foods that can be rubbed
in to the skin and absorbed.
The food would act similarly during digestion.

Anytime you change a diet suddenly you will get a tummy ache at first, right, your body is acclimated to a certain way...so its set up for it, right guys?

Absolutely coco, I think the gut bacteria and most likely all the organs modify themselves to whatever you're eating for better or worse...

maybe it has to do with bile salts not being reabsorbed from a very fast food journey (fruits), which could negatively affect fat digestion (chia seeds)

How much cleansing is there when one is already on a high sprout juice diet?
Are fruits more cleansing than green juices?
Indoor green juices should be more alkalizing

So would a fast help or hurt digestion?
