Date: March 02, 2015 02:54AM This homeless lady walked up to me at the Organic Coop in Olympia and pointing to my cart full of bananas, said, " I seen you with all those bananas and I want to tell you, you HAVE to try these red bananas" and she put in my hand this bunch of tiny red bananas. Not plantains. She said in a Jamaican voice and with rags all over her head, " You must wait two weeks to eat them, you have to wait a really long time!" and she looked at me with these bug eyes.
And I thanked her and moved on and now I have these red bananas. Are they supposed to be black when they are ready? How do I know? Its only been ONE DAY and I am dying to try them Re: Homeless lady at the coop

Date: March 02, 2015 09:51PM Are they the ones about half the size of the yellow but a little fatter? You don't want those black but they will get soft when ready. If it's the one's I'm thinking of, those are delish... Re: Homeless lady at the coop

Date: March 16, 2015 07:19PM YOu guys are not going to believe it, I went back to the same COOP and there was the crazy homeless lady again and she laughed at me and showed me her red bananas. I told her mine were still at home, hard as rocks and she said they will take a month to ripen. They are here in my kitchen still.
They take a long time to ripen. Re: Homeless lady at the coop
