Not going to watch the video since I've heard all the bogus arguments against cacao and none of them are impressive, but let me guess, he calls chocolate "toxic" and unhealthy? Where's the evidence? Stimulant? Prove all stimulatory foods are unhealthy. John Kohler's great for the raw food movement but I wouldnt take his nutritional or health advice too seriously.

Watched a little bit and he calls theobromine a toxin - doesnt really know what he's talking about. It's chemically similar to caffeine but does not exert the same effects.

[www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] - Effects of theobromine and caffeine on mood and vigilance - "These findings indicate theobromine does not influence mood and vigilance when administered in nutritionally relevant doses, despite sharing many of caffeine's structural characteristics."

If you like cacao, go for it. As far as the caffeine content, it has much less than coffee and it came from a different evolutionary branch. Caffeine can help you have a younger mind longer. Coffee in comparison has 'other' nasties as byproducts of roasting. Caccao being bitter may be good for your liver.

i think cacao is going to be a problem when overused and i think that's what they were saying, among other things.

i have these once in a while

i do notice a little energy drop after a little up.

"several other things in there."

And nothing that's necessarily harmful. Many foods contain oxalic acid. Also, something being stimulatory doesn't prove or even suggest that it's harmful to one's health. If your energy starts at say 8 and then you eat raw cacao and go to 10, and then a while after eating you go back down to 8, that doesn't mean cacao caused your energy to drop. The effects just wore off. Doesnt mean that it zapped energy away from you or diminished body functioning leading to lower energy.

except that it doesn't go to 8. it goes lower.

and tell me again how bill gates is evil, wants to kill children with vaccines,
and how i don't have any evidence of it.

tell me all about that.

One thing I've noticed with the Raw Chocolate "milk" recipe (posted above) is that it's quite a smooth ride from beginning till end. No ups and downs. For me it's a perfect breakfast for times when I have to be out and about until the afternoon. It really gets me through the day without getting hungry at all.

"except that it doesn't go to 8. it goes lower."

Not in my experience. If you have a dramatic decrease in energy after simply eating some chocolate, there could be an underlying problem already present.

"and tell me again how bill gates is evil, wants to kill children with vaccines,"

His actions support the death and disease of children in two ways, one being that he funds dangerous vaccines that have permanently damaged many and the other being a proponent of GMO's.

Recipe sounds good but I'd do without the cashews and cacao beans and instead use hemp seeds and cacao powder without the coconut oil.

if you're talking about me, i don't have a dramatic decrease.

one's reactions will depend on many factors of course,
how much, what kind, body state, etc

my point is just that you seem to believe in a free lunch.
and i think that there will be a compensating phase where energy
needs to be restored, thereby decreasing energy available and causing some fatigue.

of course digestion uses energy and i am not recommending not eating.

but overuse has been reported by many and the problems as well.

So you admit that your original statement was False
and so was the implication of the video that you shared.

good to know.

"One of life's basic rules is You Never Get Something for Nothing (or, There's No Such Thing as a Free Lunch), and stimulants are no exception to this rule…. Instead of miraculously delivering free gifts of cosmic en ergy, stimulants merely force the body to give up some of its own energy reserves. So when the stimulant wears off, the person feels especially tired, with less than normal energy. This may be perceived as feeling "down," sleepy, or depressed.1

The buildup of neurotransmitters at synapses causes another change in the body: It excites a complex brain mechanism called the reward pathway. This pathway is designed to help teach the body to perform tasks required for survival, such as eating, through positive reinforcement. …"

What's the problem here with attributing quoted thoughts of others to their rightful sources? How ironic that fresh is getting a free lunch out of someone else's thoughts on not getting free lunches.

Ha ha ha. You don't have to crave cacao to enjoy the flavors. I don't find chocolate addicting or something I just have to have. Do you? It's just a nice little harmless perk that comes with being at the top of the food chain.

Nope, there was never any evidence to support the statement of women having more children because they believe their children will die, just hearsay without verification.

"irrelevant."

You not being able to support your statement is irrelevant? Funny how that goes.

"refuse to admit it."

What I refuse to admit is that a man with as much knowledge and power as Bill Gates is completely ignorant to the well-established devastating effects of vaccines and GMO's. He's a sell-out.
