At 20:15, it appears that Tavis is endorsing Hippocrates Health Institute. To grasp his meaning, you have to listen to the several minutes before where he talks about doctors in general.

Incidentally, I met Janette Murray Wakelin, made famous by her year-long marathon around Australia with her husband Alan, eating only raw fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds. She said she used IV therapy (which included natural vitamin C--not synthetic, among other things) for six months, as part of her cancer cure. She had an aggressive breast cancer, was given 6 months to live and except for surgery, chose a natural route instead of conventional treatment.

Why is Tavis loosing his hair at such a young age is his parents lived the lifestyle and he's being doing it himself for over 20 years?

rawpracticalist,

good one!

yikes!!

"So I had no chemo, no radiation, no other treatments, and no dietary changes beyond the carrot consumption, and continuing eating meat and ice cream and indulging in other dietary vices (I don’t recommend ice cream for cancer, but only want to emphasize that drinking carrot juice was the only change I made in my life, besides gratefully accepting prayers and “good energy” from friends and asking for wisdom and help from Whoever is up there in the Beyond.

but i thought sugar was bad!!!!

and i thought that you needed supplements and coffee enemas???

say it ain't so!

I was not at all impressed with this video. Don't like what he says. Don't like how he looks. He had said before that the reason he was losing his hair was that he used to wear it back in a pony tail and pulled it too tightly. That was obviously, at best, wishful thinking.

I'm also no longer impressed with all the people who say they overcame cancer without offering a shred of bona fide documentation. I want to hear what those NAMED professionals who diagnosed these claimers had to say about these cases - IN WRITING - IN LAB WORK - IN THEIR OTHER BATTERY OF TESTS.

If people are diagnosed with cancer by qualified people there is ALWAYS a paper trail. I'm tired of all the B. effing S. testimonials. Let's have some TRUTH with EVIDENCE. Lets have some PROOF.

I'm always amazed that people buy into these cancer cure stories without a shred of evidence that the stories are even remotely true. Didn't people just get blindsided on the Belle Story? Can we hear from Ms. Cameron's not-mentioned "oncologist"? Can she furnish some documentation backing up her story? My husband had & was cured of testicular cancer (surgery & radiation) in 1982, and up to a few years ago when I cleaned out some very old papers, I easily could have produced evidence of his recovery. And yes he's still very much alive at age 87 next May 30. Surely Ms. Cameron would be able to do the same since her story seems to have occurred rather recently, and such records should be readily available. But they never seem to appear. Maybe this is why public libraries have the section they call "Fiction"?

Thank you.

My grandfather was diagnosed with bone cancer sometime before my father was born (in 1929) and was told he would die without having his leg amputated. He said no and figured out a way to survive it using some household ingredients. According to my father and aunt everything was documented and my grandfather was written up in a medical journal as having had a "spontaneous remission".

It is incredible that we are to believe testimonials that people who say they were really diagnosed with cancer, especially in this day and age, never ever even name their M.D.s who made the diagnosis much less go back for a follow up appointment once they are "cured" for proof.

i sent her an email to ask for more info .

I didn't think he was talking about the HHI corp. I think Tavis was talking about the guy who's name was lifted to use as HHI's trademark.
I listened again and haven't seen any reason whatsoever to think he was talking about anyone than the original Hippocrates.

Who was her Dr. who diagnosed her? Where did she get her battery of tests which lead to her diagnosis? Has she had follow up tests to confirm she is free from cancer? Did she share with anyone her paper trail?

I haven't heard him talk about that or if they are even dead, are they? I know from that foraging video that they were hard core raw, nature hippies.

Yes, back when I was a noob. Today I doubt I would be at all impressed by a success rate report of 50 cases in 25 years. None of them really stuck out enough to remember or want to read about them again.

I don't know how old his mother is but she looked, to me, from his photos, in her mid 60's with VERY sun damaged looking skin. Like so many women connected to raw gurus, it seems, she was a professional belly dancer when Tavis' father saw her perform and decided she was the one who he would marry.

His father was a major Edmond Szekely fan - had all his books, etc., and supposedly had a small cult following of his own back in his day. His father died very soon after Tavis went on youtube. It was apparently totally unexpected and sudden but Tavis never said what happened. I don't know whether or not his parents were still married at the time he died.

I went to Janette Murray Wakelin's "Janette's Story" page, and I don't see anything there to make me think it any more authentic than Belle's recovery from lung cancer; Paul Bragg's recovery from TB; Ann Wigmore's recovery from colon cancer; Jay The Juiceman's recovery from bladder cancer; and LaLanne's recovery from, well, underweight & pimples. Guess I'm just a hard sell....

Here's a Janette Murray Wakelin link. Does Australia put on marathons every day? I'm not a runner so I don't know about these things and only hear about them on the news once in a while. Are Australians that into running or did the Wakelin's hold their own personal 26 mile a day runs for 366 consecutive days? Seems they are selling a couple of books about themselves and have a movie deal, too.

[blogs.naturalnews.com]

KFCA, Belle Gibson had lung cancer, too? I had only read about her open heart surgery, stroke, and brain/liver/kidney/uterine/spleen/blood cancer recoveries.

How should a personal story about cancer cure be told to be convincing?

Sorry, after I sent my post, I realized that Belle's problem supposedly was brain cancer; my sister had lung cancer, as does my husband's 84 year old sister currently. Too many cancers going around I guess.

The body has a high degree of tolerance otherwise the abuse with put it through should lead to more cancer.
Looking back at my early eating habits I am surprised that I was alive for so many years.

Opps, what I referred to as the "movie deal" is actually a crowd fund project by a commercial tv film maker. There is one guy named who had pledged 5K of his own money to the film making. It is said "Janette and Alan will be donating as well".

The crowd funder only has a week to go and only has about 8K of the $150k that is being requested. On an embedded film in the below linked fund raiser page Janette claims to have had "a clean bill of health" from the cancer she claimed (in other places) to have been diagnosed with as "Stage Three" and had been given a "death sentence" of six months over.

There are some bits in the obviously professionally filmed embedded video that show the pair running mostly alone. I wonder if the documentary is already in the can, why only one tiny sentence about the best selling "cancer cure" claim, and why the fruit bats and their leaders are seemingly (judging by the dismal total raised) nowhere around this fund raiser ...

Yes, his name is Philip Wollen, and he is an ex citibank vice president turned philanthropist and champion of animal rights. He is inspiringly noble and gracious. He and the pair live in the same town and support each other. I wish there was more of his grace on the forum.

It's old news. And also, it's not that amazing when surgery and high tech naturopathic procedures have been employed. How many can follow suit financially? Nevertheless, it is still inspiring, as many still are able to cure cancer with the regular, juicing, oral (not IV) herbal medicine, colon hydrotherapy, etc.

Did they complete each of their 366 consecutive marathons every day? How did they do this without so much as one blister on any of their four feet as they seem to claim? I once ran 15 miles in padded running shoes and had 30 blisters so their claim of no blisters - if true - will make me invest in a pair of their marathon sponsor's magic running shoes.

Our 100 percent low-fat raw vegan diet is based on fresh, ripe, organic fruits and vegetables with no animal products, no processed or junk foods and does not include any supplements, “superfoods,” stimulants, drugs or pain-killers.

We chose to run in Vibram barefoot shoes and went through 16 pairs each. That’s 1,000 kilometers or 23 marathons a pair—and no blisters! On extremely hot days when the road temperature was above 50 degrees, we alternated three pairs, keeping two pairs on ice in the freezer! Our average running time was 6 hours daily, and we tried to get at least eight hours sleep to help keep our energy levels up.

Apparently they are unaware of the damaging effects of excessive exercise, but if they're having fun and enjoying it, that's what matters.

jannette

2002 diagnosed
52 yrs old. told 6mths to live
vegetarian for 25yrs prior
vegan for 15 yrs prior
included cooked food, muffins, sandwiches, pasta, cooked veggies and such

prior to diagnosis -
- was exposed to large toxic dose of marine paint, spilled all over her and ingested some of it.
-exposed to chernobyl toxins while sailing the world

after diagnosis
- did intravenous immune therapy
- infrared detoxification therapy
-infrared sauna
- ozone treatment
- wheatgrass and carrot juicing

after this she went all raw and felt huge difference in energy and well being.
“I couldn’t believe the difference in the way I felt within only one week of changing to 100% RAW food,” she exclaims. “The first thing I noticed was my clarity of mind was intensely heightened. I no longer had to think about decision making. Everything became very clear, there was no hesitation.”
“I lost 15lb within the first month of eating 100% RAW food, which took me just below my recommended weight per height ratio. The following month my weight came back up a few lbs and has not changed since,” she says.

six months later no signs of cancer
