Does anyone know if humans can digest raw beans?

Ex: how digestible are raw kideny beans?

Thanks!

Ben

I believe, from folk lore more than anything else, that raw kideny bean are toxic. So I've never tried them, and I think it might be a bad idea to try them to find out.

However, I've never had a problem digesting raw fresh chickpeas. Very yummy.

Cheers,
Ian.

I eat raw green beans.

For hard beans I sprout them but I heard they should still be cooked because they are still hard to digest.
