Raw Vegan Retreat Food Prep Hygiene Fail

Why, in God's name, would anybody think it's ok to remove cloves of garlic from the bulb IN THEIR MOUTH and then put those cloves straight from their mouth into a big batch of raw ketchup to be used on everyone's raw vegan hamburgers?! Why did no one watching this happen utter a word?! Would these observers have been ok if they saw their server at a restaurant put a piece of salad into their own mouth before serving it? Can anyone say "cult of personality"?

THere does seem to be a vision problem. He put one pepper that still had a store sticker on it into the vitamix.

I have a DVD from a well known raw vegan chef, and she puts her bare hands into the zucchini noodles to stir in the cashew alfredo sauce. After thoroughly squishing the sauce between her fingers into the noodles, she washes her hands off and serves it to people, and everyone eats it!

I watched a "chef" in a Woodstock Fruit Festival video leaning over a big batch of food she was working on while she was being interviewed. She was spitting while she talked and all of her spittle was falling all over that huge pan's worth of food.

I only eat raw vegan food I've prepared myself. There is an amazing amount of food prep retardation out there. Maybe the raw chef teachers are from the old school that believes there is no such thing as getting sick if you are a proper smiling happy raw vegan.

I think I remember Dan the Man saying there was something infectious getting some high profile raw vegan veterans sick at the 2014 WFF, including himself. People need to be extra cautious when washing, preparing and serving raw food.

More and more I am becoming freaked out to eat food prepared by anyone but myself! And I don't think that's an unjustified fear.

What do you want, rubber gloves and masks?!? Seems a bit germ phobic, no? Perhaps a roll in the mud will be the cure for that ailment...

Oh this is reason #1 why I didnt want to make raw vegan food for others. You have to sterilize everything and wash hands in between making dishes and if you don't you get called out in meetings and humiliated. I invited a raw vegan chef over my house and she was so shocked I allowed my chihuahua to walk through my own kitchen, while I was making food. I was so embarrassed. Then I spilled juice and wiped it up with a rag, the same one that I used to wash the dishes and this girl was horrified and I decided then, I am too messy to be a raw food chef. The way I see it, is its all organic anyways and I am not sterile person.

Any food industry you have to be pristine.

Oh yes, l make it a rule to only prepare my own food. I don't believe in raw food restuarants and any of that. I want to ensure cleanliness and an intimacy with the food l grow myself so l know it is prepared with love, and the eating session (appreciation of the food grown and prepared myself) is to the standards l require so it matches my spiritual mind set.

Other people preparing your meals is cold and clinical in many cases.

In this clip Viktoras finishes up bottling his customer's dinner condiment recipe. His onlookers most peculiar, IMO, reactions.

*Spoiler alert - jaws drop but not in the expected disbelief...

(30 second video. Quite long enough.)

Yes, l saw those videos years ago and l am taken back by the Vik's handling of the food the way he is. Still, always nice to see Vik in a video, and...doesn't he look so youthful and amazing! You can't go telling me that his diet doesn't work, he is about 71 in that video.
