which is her statement, and not quoted from the study. I really don't see why this is so difficult. Is there some kind of gag order on showing the study text? we will never know since you are "done with this discussion", after not sharing the relevant portions of the study for some bizarre reason. "Also, the authors report the finding that the B12 levels of the fruitbats living in the wild would decline during the periods they fed on cultivated fruit, and increase during the periods they fed on uncultivated fruit that contains lots of insects. regarding the source of the b12... Evidence that it could be insects, but not conclusive, as i said. this is kind of a stab at the b12 requirements using info known.... fruit bats and number of ants or fruitflies required to satisfy b12 requirements eqyptian fruit bat weight= 160g b12 requirements 50ug =.05mg fruit fly weight= .2 mg ant weight =1mg b12 content of termites as baseline... termite 940 pg/mg (940 picograms per milligram dry body mass) therefore fruit fly b12 content=200 picograms=.0002ug =250000 fruit flies required to satisfy b12 needs daily =50000 ants required to satisfy b12 needs daily so unless math is wrong, likely that the requirements are lower than stated by the researchers.
