Questions about Fructose Malabsorption

I am interesting in knowing peoples opinions on the causes and remedies for fructose malabsorption. Not to be confused with fructose intolerance (genetic based, very rare).

Some of people I know have developed it and can only eat very little or no fruit without developing symptoms such as digestive problems; abdominal pain and gas, bloating, nausea, acid reflux, diarrhea, and constipation [www.alive.com]

Some suggested causes are overuse of high fructose foods (especially those sweetened by high fructose corn syrup), bacterial abnormalities in the gut, inflammation and stress.

So how do you fix it? Cleaning up the gut? Water fasting? If the natural diet for humans is fruits and vegetables there should be a way of fixing this.

Thanks.

Wow I never heard of this, I wonder how cows and monkeys figured this out.

My aunt, if she touches water her whole body breaks out in hives. She cannot take a bath.

My mom says watermelon juice makes her urine bloody. That she is allergic.

The world is full of mysteries.

DOes anyone know?

BUMP
