I left it out in the sun for 12 hours, then pushed the flies , lactic acid, alcohol and bacteria to one side and ate it all then. yum. that wasn't really a typical day - much will change when I continue for a week. Where do you get hydrilla? Haven't heard of that but the calcium content sounds impressive... Re: Cravings for fat; eating too many nuts to get fats

It sounds like a good start. You should have seen my fermented sunflower seed sprouts today. My sunflower sprouts were covered in mold all over the top of them. When that happens l KNOW my sunflower is going to be at it's best and really make me feel great. It has a really nice moderately strong sour tangy taste. Naturally l scrape all the mold off - it can't grow below the surface because the extremely acid bacteria can't survive...it can only grow on the surface in the air where it is not highly acid. My legumes were covered in mold too. The key is to have the fermented sprouts before just before they reach the point of going rotten. There is a difference between food that is breaking down and food that is rotten, your nose will be able to tell when a food has crossed that line into the rotten category. www.thesproutarian.com Re: Cravings for fat; eating too many nuts to get fats

anyway, I'd say 15-20% of calories from fat is good. Log it into fitday or cronometer. And don't forget all foods have fat, not jut nuts and seeds. I wouldn't worry about too much protein. Re: Cravings for fat; eating too many nuts to get fats

Thanks. 15% or around that is also what I have settled on now. That's 35-40 grams a day of fat and I am measuring it on cronometer from today. Wondering how many nuts and seeds I'll need for that. It's probably best to stay off olive oil on a daily basis. I read in Frederic Patenaude's book 'Raw Secrets' that eating a lot of nuts and seeds made his health go bad because it was high protein. But I should experiment for myself. And yes, I'm still here and following the debate Re: Cravings for fat; eating too many nuts to get fats

He probably wasn't eating soaked nuts and seeds and had a very imbalanced O3:O6 ratio. Re: Cravings for fat; eating too many nuts to get fats
