Logging nutrition intake by weight

Hi guys

When websites like nutrition data and fitday.com list their nutrition, is this done by weight minus inedible parts of the food?

i.e.

I have a 200g box of dates that have stones/stem attached.
When working out their nutritional content, should I remove these and then weigh again? i.e. this could be 190g or less of actual date in some cases.

Plus these sorts of sites have options like '1 large apple' is that the whole apple minus core and pips?

In some cases, the weight difference won't be too affected but in the case of say, a few heads of romaine lettuce, the core is a big part of the weight.

Do you guys make extra weight adjustments?
