Vegetable Grinder

Juicing removes the fiber
Blending destroys nutrients
Fruits are not complete foods in the long run.
Sprouts require too much work.
So it seems like the solution is to eat vegetable.
Yet many of us cannot properly chew them.
A vegetable grinder will help making it easier to chew the veggies.
What is the best vegetable grinder on the market?

Depends what you mean by "grind", i.e., how fine do you want your vegetables chopped?

I can't chew really hard raw vegetables such as beets and carrots, so I put them through my Omega 8001 juicer/food processor fitted with the non-juicing insert. They end up very finely ground, with some of the veg converted into juice. Perfect for me, anyway.

Sweet winter squash doesn't need such treatment; a regular manual grater does the job.

The Omega 8001 is pretty old and has since been replaced by the Omega 8002.

Thank for the info.

I have the Omega J8006 model and it use to grind veggies like carrots and coconut but although the output is good it is not fine enough. Was looking for a better machine.

I suspect you'd be happier with an umbilical cord reattachment than a grinder.

I actually found a simpler and cheaper way of grinding the veggies to the finest I want.
Using the green power juicer with homogenizing screen does the trick.
For coconut I still have to use the Omega J8006.

You want your vegetables to be as fine as baby food? LOL!

Well most of the foods we eat on raw diet are fine as baby food
Juices
Smoothies
Seed yogurt

At that level of finest, it become easier to mix it with saliva and get it ready for proper digestion.

You could never chew carrots or any greens to that level of finest.

Or for those with bad teeth.

I would say a veggie chopper and a vitamix is ideal.

You can blend salads and then add small diced cucmbers, tomatoes, celery, etc

What is wrong with a blender? To just mash up a bit.

I want to get the green star so I can use the homogenizing plate. Like they do at ANN W"s

LOOK what it does to spouted almonds
with carrots and bell pepper

I honestly am wrapping myhead around the question. No blender, but a masher? so you just want like a potato ricer? A cheesecloth?

Not sure what you mean, a blender just transforms the fiber,
its still there.

WHAT ABOUT A VEGGIE CHOPPER? Those dicer things. Or a good old fashioned potato masher you can make guacamango in?

SueZ, hands down. That demeanor can disintegrate any vegetable.

That's a nice little pate in that photo.

I looked up Green Star and what a beauty it is. Nothing it can't do, apparently! This is some kind of improved version. Wish I had the bucks...

Yes the technology in juicers has really improved
I prefer juicer to blender but I have both
