That is what we need from the raw gurus, details on their diet, not just theories. I like this guy he is covering all of the bases. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

Date: November 28, 2015 11:35AM I'd assume that the different green powders would all end up having similar ingredients? I'm sure he could just find a single powder with everything he needs in. Those green powders aren't cheap. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

Maybe sugar is not just sugar. Not all sugars are equal. No sprout in his diet, no controversy there about sprouts being nutritious or not. I do not think the powders do much, what is good in his diet is that he has his own garden and can get fresh produce from it right before eating Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

We're ALL in trouble? Maybe but there are two groups of people that are exempt from this "troublesome" dilemma: 1) you and 2) everyone else Did I miss anyone? No one is in trouble. It is one man , John Kohler making his smoothie for the day. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

(maybe this is an infomercial?)" Maybe. Maybe not. There's a lot of that (and product placement) going around these days in youtube rawvegandom. He gives speeches on raw food and has many YouTube videos. Great market, many are sick and need help. I thought I was eating too much. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

You missed a few things... 1. That video is from Lou Corona's very own website. (Check out the cartoon of himself he's placed in the upper left hand corner on the banner, or whatever that area is called.) 2. He didn't dispute being called the healthiest man in the world because that's what he's humbly branding himself. It wouldn't surprise me if he wrote both roles of the ad's script himself. 3. The awed and reverential woman interviewing the "Healthiest Man in the World" is one of his employees. Looks like Lou is giving the vacationing Dan the Man some "distributor$hip" competition - I guess he hasn't given Dan any sort of exclusive deal for turning much of his branded "Life Regenerator" youtube channel into a purdyne commercial. Date: November 28, 2015 10:54PM I watched the video on Lou Corona as the Healthiest Man in the world.
There was nothing new, just enzyme and cultured food that are the basis of his diet. Many are already following the same principles and do not claim to be Healthiest Man in the world Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/28/2015 10:56PM by RawPracticalist. I love Lou Corona's new videos. Technically speaking, he is NOT the healthiest man in the world, but he is teaching every day principles that people can use to be their healthiest and for him to be at his healthiest with plant foods. "healthiest" within a certain context. I am not defending it, but I am contextualizing it. This man did a 40 day water fast out in the forest by a creek with no one around and buried himself in the sand at night. Who does that? He is very special. Edited 1 time(s). Sounded to me like he's annoyed that people are sending back his powders because they don't like the taste. Something like that happening would probably cost him big time. Ranting and schooling his peeps, though, while wearing a superman costume, even a superman couldn't pull off. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

Bitter tasting herbs are not junk. They are very good natural medicine and are very nutritious. Lucky for Marcus only cheating NHers and 811ers would probably buy his powder. Oh wait ... Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

Oh wait ... not junk but ... powders are inferior to whole foods imo and the way he was pitching it in the video to blunt your taste of sugar and as transitional item, etc etc was all salesmanship nonsense. we have no idea how those powders are digested and assimilated. I never heard that pitch about bitter blunting the taste of sugar before, or never thought about it, but I know if I have a large amount of arugula and dandelion greens in a smoothie or soup, for instance, and add something sweet (as opposed to sticking to savories and just a bit of sweetener) it will taste like shite. I think he's on to something but then I eat a lot of arugula, other bitter herbs, and a variety of spices. I don't think that sort of thing would be in the experience range of people who stick to very bland vegetables and rely more on fruit. But who knows. > we have no idea how those powders are digested and > assimilated. Well not any more or less than we really know how anything is digested and assimilate but I recall a study panchito posted of very good results from freeze dried broccoli sprouts. Since freeze drying doesn't really even qualify as raw, due to it being processed at over 118F, it's pretty safe to say dehydrated herbs are digested and assimilated. Anyone who's dehydrated and properly stored veggies knows they still taste and smell fresh and retain their color for very many years. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

I meant only that we have proven health outcomes with millions of years of evolution eating whole foods and juicing and blending and dehydrating then pulverizing into a powder may have negative consequences or is at least more unknown. I love Lou Corona's new videos. Tai (new): oops. I spoke without seeing her interview with Lou. Her English needs help. The one good video series I saw was just him speaking in 3 parts on his channel. And also, I just remembered how horrible I felt when I actually believed David Wolfe, when he called himself the world's authority on raw food, many years back. I gave up on raw food, partially because I thought I had explored all options. But later I discovered Brian CLement and Lou Corona. So, yeah, it's not fair to call someone the healthiest man, unless he really is. Because someone out there might believe it. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

Tai, I'll say it a third time, (I know this stuff is hard for you to pay attention to and digest), Lou Corona is DELIBERATELY BRANDING HIMSELF as the "Healthiest Man in the World". His EMPLOYEE that is interviewing him is just sticking to HIS infomercial's script. Re: If this guy needs powders we're all in trouble

"A tiger does not proclaim its tigritude, a tiger jumps on its prey" This was coined by Nigerian playwright and activist Wole Soyinka … The Tiger does not need to proclaim its Tigritude, it just pounces. A Tiger has an immutable identity rooted in genetics. Lou does not have to say it, he can just be healthiest, jump healthiest, live 120+ years. Edited 4 time(s). Date: December 01, 2015 10:38AM So a raw foodist now is someone who doesn't eat cooked foods, but can drink as much cooked stuff as he likes!
As for the gallon of sugar cane juice, I've had fresh sugar cane juice on numerous occasions and I always ask for lots of ice to dilute it when they make it - too too sweet. I'm no expert on sugar cane juice ( is there one here? ), but have had enough experience to know it's basically pure sugar and a bit of added extras. I don't know where John got his info that sugar cane juice is packed with lots of nutrients just because it's classified as a grass. Reminds me of the title of One of Judge Judy's books titled '' Don't Pee On My leg and Tell Me it's Raining ''. If John wants to drink a gallon of SC juice there's nothing wrong with that, but to justify drinking a gallon by pretending it's packed with nutrients is just total nonsense. Maybe he's having the Harley Syndrome after depriving himself after so many years and his body needs real nourishment. At least he is honest. If only all the raw gurus were as honest as Harley and John are about what they ingest ( as opposed to what they eat!) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/01/2015 10:39AM by BJ. Date: December 01, 2015 03:02PM Dont mess with John Kohler..
I do not consider carob a supplement..or grass greens dried up..I consider those foods. You know when I read alot of raw vegan books I thought so too. That I needed supplements.. Maybe you do. There are alot of people who study and research these things and they may be on to something. We need help and we need medicine that comes from plants. Some people suffer from brain injuries and these supplements may add something to balance out their issues with stress. Alot of glands in your bodies, and yes certain plants help certain things, and when eaten raw they are supreme. I know some of these work. Herbs work. I see what you are saying. Its ok to experiment. I notice when I eat certain things, they all have effects, but when I pee they are all out of my body and they do not last long. My Biology Teacher in college told me vitamins, they work, like putting on your heater in your house in winter. You would not put on the heat in summer. And by winter what you have out in your house, as heat, is already long gone. Supplements may work like that too, they only work in your body, when you take them and when you flush them out the effects are gone.. BUT BE WARNED supplements like Coral Calcium and ZEOLITE have high high lead levels. Mike from Natural News just did an article on this, he tested them in his lab and it was off the charts he says.
