I never had it fresh, only in teas.

Luo Han Guo (Monk Fruit, Buddha Fruit, Fructus Momordicae)
What does it do?
Properties:
In the term of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM),
Luo Han Guo is sweat and cool.
The channels Luo Han Guo influences are Lung and Large intestines.

Note: Luo Han Guo is extremely sweat. Being about 300 times sweater than sugar, it has been used as a natural low-calorie sweetener. Ideal for those with diabetes seeking sugar substitutes.
Action:
In the term of TCM, Luo Han Guo:
1. Clears heat and moistens the Lung.
2. Lubricates the Intestines and unblocks the bowels.

How do I use it?
In TCM, Luo Han Guo bulk herb is used in the daily dosage of 9 to 15 g. In most cases, bulk herbs are cooked in boiling water to make tea or soup for consumption.
