do green smoothies count towards water intake?

I make a green smoothie everyday with 5 bananas, 2 cups of frozen mango and blueberries, apple, spinach, and 20 ounces of water.

This makes 60 ounces total. Does that all count toward water intake?

LOL...Just teasing. winking smiley Why wouldn't they? By the way, it doesn't have to be a beverage. It has been pointed out that EATING raw fruits and veggies is a way to consume organic water and that water is then no longer needed at the same issue.

I think the real issue is whether or not plain water is indicated if you are eating lots of water-rich foods and drinking juices/smoothies throughout the day. I am the type who has typically never gone out of my way to drink plain water regularly. I would like to take it up, at least in a moderate way. But depending on the level of raw consumed, it is not as necessary, I would think. Cooked foods are what makes people thirsty, right? And the foods are dehydrated due to the heat so replacing water would make sense.

Also there is the issue of not having to process anything with just water, hence the idea of a water fast versus a juice fast.
