I wouldn't have the title as dumb and dumber though winking smiley

It's always interesting to hear people's POV on raw, I find even if I disagree with them, I usually learn something smiling smiley

I watched some raw food 'debunking' video some time ago. I didn't find it very balanced, or even intelligent. Was so supposed to be so scientific. They created this mechanical 'digester' that was supposed to be something like a human stomach, and then ran a chopped up raw potato. After x number of hours they looked at it again, and the texture was unchanged.

First of all, since when is a machine anything like a living thing that is constantly adding stuff, removing stuff and doing things that a machine never does. The experiment was NOT run with anything else. Like say a melon, mango, celery etc.... or *yikes*(please dont think I am advocating) Or as controls cooked items, like breads, cooked potato, and again yikes, even cooked dairy or meat. I can only imagine they were NOT looking for objective testing really. I can also only imagine that potatoes were particularly resistant to being digested, and that cooked items probably would have come out to revolting to appeal to an audience that wanted to be told that eating animal foods is ok. Cooked plant products well, may not be ok, but probably are much, much better.
