Sprouted buckwheat porrage
Date: October 16, 2016 08:09PM

Is sprouted buckwheat healthy? I kind of want to try it.

How would I have to do it? Soak for how long, and then is it edible or do I have to wait for it to sprout a plant?

Is it better than fruits?

It is healthy if it is eaten in limited amounts.

Soak buckwheat groats for 4 hours and sprout in a jar for about 3 - 4 days.

That comparison can't be made. Fruits can be eaten in larger qualities where-as buckwheat can't. Sprouted buckwheat is good to have a few times per week along with other meals.

On a nutrient per gram ratio the sprouted buckwheat would be far more nutritious than fruit, but that doesn't mean too much because more factors come into health than just a simple nutrient measurement.

Sprouting whole buckwheat on soil and juicing the greens is good too, but it MUST be in limited amounts. Maybe have 3 glasses of buckwheat juice per week at most.
