Date: January 07, 2007 09:21PM I've been reading living food books lately, and many of the authors approve of and indulge in miso and raw fermented soy in their recipes.
Anyone here using raw fermented soy? Or is soy the devil, no matter what? Re: Miso and fermented raw soy

Date: January 07, 2007 10:32PM Hi Rawrrr,
From my own experience any kind of soy causes soooo much stomach cramps and discomfort I'm scared to use it in any form really. I feel its best to avoid soy products myself. Of course it can very from person to person though so if you feel good with it maybe its ok I have read that fermented is better still I would go careful if trying it. Just my opinion of course Re: Miso and fermented raw soy

Date: January 08, 2007 02:01AM I love miso. I made a delicious miso soup this evening. I warmed the water to about 100 degrees and mixed in the miso with asian veggies and sea vegetables.
The other form of soy that I eat is Nama Shoyu. I eat this on rare occasions, mostly with the nori rolls. If someone wants cooked soy, I think Tempeh is a better choice than tofu. Mike Re: Miso and fermented raw soy

Date: January 08, 2007 06:06AM no, tempeh is not raw. soy products are not raw, not even edmame beans are raw. "raw" soy sauce is questionable as well. don't confuse fermented with raw. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
